iPad Music Apps?

Anyone using Euclidean yet?
it doesn’t appear as a midi source in AUM.
any idea what I’m doin wrong?

the manual doesn’t give much info.

Open in stand alone mode 1st. Then in AUM. If that doesn’t work, reboot iPad. I had the same issue

thanks for the reply Kryten.
just tried what u suggest a few times. Still nothing.

In AUM tap the orange + to add a new track, choose midi (not audio). Then in the midi track you added tap the white + and choose Audio unit MIDI Processor, scroll down or search and you should see it hopefully. Once added there it should show up as a MIDI SOURCE

anything like an sh101 ios synth on the market?

I’ve checked out the Juno clone - Tal-u-no thingy alright. sounds really good.
can’t find any 101 specific clones. I get the feeling the Tal is as close as you’d find atm. just checking if anyone’s found anything similar

don’t know any 101 clone. I had hoped TAL would port their bassline 101 as well…
Zeeon is great for any virtual analog sounds

nice one

i really should pick up mirack. there seems to be a lot of tools in there.
i just know its gonna end up like drambo for me.
composition stops and down the sound tweaking hole i go until i lose direction of the original composition a couple hours later.

I don’t like to patch in MiRack, I find that Drambo is much faster. But it’s still nice to have all those incredible oscillators from Mutable Instruments. You don’t have to make everything in MiRack, just isolate the modules you want and chain them in your Drambo rack.

i avoid drambo as much as i can as well.
unless i feel like just spinning my wheels and going no where lol

This guy has many tutorials on iPad music apps. I like to check out his vids to see if I actually want to buy. He covers a lot.

I intend to give it a go.
Not for composing, but for exploring. If i get something nice happening, sample it for later use.

Wibbly wobbly sound maker thing.

I really liked Playground and what I wanted most from it was being able to add my own sounds to it. It’s great to see that they rose from the ashes of that. I’ve just grabbed it and am keen to find out if it’s what I hoped it would be.

Hey 'nauts quick question : I’m about to pull the trigger on one of those gen 9 iPad. They’re probably going to be the last ones to have a headphone jack so I’m thinking of taking advantage of this and getting one now.

My question is how do you sample hardware synths into the ipad ? I’m under the impression that a simple microphone three ringed jack would do the trick but by looking around everyone seems to recommend getting an audio interface to do that.

Why wouldn’t the headphone jack work if you can obviously get audio in by plugging a headset for video calls ?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for being a tad off topic

I’ve never tried to record with a microphone connected to the iPad, but I’ve been recording on the iPad 0-coast with a Digitakt connected over USB, so I didn’t even need the headphone jack here.
