iPad Music Apps?

Also try midiSteps. It can even host AUv3 in standalone.

As far as sequencers go, I’ve looked at Riffer, drambo, Rozeta, and Fugue. Anything I’ve missed? Quantum looks the most interesting to me so far but my understanding is that it won’t work in Loopy pro (which I’m enjoying so far).

just start buying like we all did…

you go through about 30 of them before you land on what works for you

Seconded.

ZOA is a great sequencer. I’m enjoying that at the moment.

Hey, I bought Noir last week and love it. One thing I noticed is that it plays too slow. Ahem, seems weird right?

I play the first preset at, say, 113 BPM. If I put Noir I Aum and play at 113, and record a one bar loop somewhere with fixed length recording, I get a proper 1 bar loop. If I do that at that same tempo from Noir, it’s slower and I do to get one bar then.

Seems weird to me!

I’ve not experience that. Double check the sequencer in Noir as you can set the Pattern steps to different lengths: 8th, 8th Trp., 16th 32nd & 64th.

I don’t think that’s the issue. In both cases I’m using the same preset - the first one, simple 4 on the floor.

These are the ones I use.
You can’t use Quantum in Loopy since it does not support Inter App Audio, but there is probably a way to have it running separately and send the midi.
It’s a great sequencer, but for me overkill most of the time and I avoid Inter App Audio now.

LK is one a lot of people don’t know about because it began as (and is still mostly known as) a controller app for Ableton Live.

At some point, the developer added the ability for the grid controller module to work as a standalone clip launcher, running as a MIDI AUv3. I use it in AUM, and it was a game changer for my iPad workflow!

Jeeeeeeez…. You guys! All of this stuff is so cool.

Any good euclidian rhythm sequencers you would recommend for the iPad?

BTW, I recently got Drumcomputer and I love it!

in the Brambos Rozeta Suite there is Rozeta Rhythm. Great sequencer.
Patterning has also an euclidean mode. patterning is an amazing drummachine, but IAA only

I use this and think it’s great. The ui can be a bit fiddly. A redesign with sections on seperate pages would be great

PolyPhase can do some nice job.

I agree, it’s a very old plugin based design

How does the Euclidean in patterning work? Never noticed it before.

I think it’s just straight port of the desktop so geared towards mouse and bigger screen
