iPad Music Apps?

That coldcut app looks pretty great

I’m just writing in to complain/seek help about elastique drums.

Unless I’m mistaken, there’s no way to have a 2 bar pattern without song mode. Then, once song mode is engaged, you have to link at least four patterns together, not just only two if you want.

Further, if you end up wanting to change the sound of the drums on one pattern, then you have to copy and paste it over to the next pattern. It’s not like elektron where you have one kit for everything.

I feel like I must be missing a feature but I cant figure out a way to have a two bar pattern that’s not a pain in the ass. It’s a shame because I like the sound design possibilities.

I also cant figure out how to swing and couldn’t find anything in the manual.

I knew Herrmutt Lobby from their amazing music before they started making these apps. I still recall them releasing an app called beatsurfing before they released this playground app. TBH I wish they would have just continued supporting/developing beatsurfing app, but I suppose they realized that the control surfaces dont really make a lot of sense to most users unless you supply the context along with it (the samples and sounds instead of it just sending MIDI)

Lemme see if I can find it still from the app store… Here is one video about it

EDIT: hmm, sadly seems to be abandonware… heres the official page

link is dead so…

Such a shame, I really liked the app and thought it was a genius UI paradigm

Nice catch, looks like a genius UI for live FX. Half price for the first couple of weeks too apparently

For this I use AUM inside AUDIOBUS or https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/midi-link-sync/id1071048493

Oh nice. And AUM will synch too this and thus all other apps in AUM? Can I switch seemlessly between tap and midi? Is it stable?

Hi. Anyboby use Jamm pro here?
Looks like a powerfully apps :expressionless:

I’m starting to use it a little. It’s really powerful, but I’m not sold by the UI yet, it feels a little messy. I’m sure updates will bring improvements.

That app is so dated it feels like going back to a simpler time.

Thanks for sharing!

I was already on the fence yesterday evening but luckily I waited a little because it was still full price.

got Model D and have been listening to Doug Woods’ demos of the various IAPs for it. I wish he would have slowed down more often so we could hear the sound develop over time, but it is whath it is. So far I like the Hyperdimensional Pads one. It’s $1.99 - dunno if that’s a discount or not.

The AB community sound pack sounds good to me, and it’s free

Can anybody tell me how I control moog model D app with patterning 2. I cant seem to get it right?! I have AUM to my disposal too.

Also can i sequence midi in Ableton with patterning 2 via link?

Load patterning and model d.

Go to settings in model d, midi and select patterning for input.

In configuration enable background audio and ableton link.

In patterning, file then clock settings to enable ableton link.

Ableton link is just for clocking. You should be able to sequence it from ableton though using midi.
