Well, after watching all the videos about it, I really want one, but not now.

I had Elektron boxes before, ended up selling them, and now I want to get back. That’s why I don’t want something that feels like an entry to Elektron world.

Although ST is capable of making entire songs, I think it will serve me better as a part of a body, not the body itself. I’d get a ST if I had something like an OT, but I don’t feel like buying an OT in 2022.

So, I’ll wait a little bit more.

£849 gbp… errrrrr maybe with more outs but just seems like a mix between DTone/Takt to me.
Enjoy tho if you’re buying one might be fun :+1:

Paying a bit more for the Analog I imagine. I remember when the Digi’s originally dropped at $1100 msrp or so a few years back. Everything’s been revalued since. In more favourable circumstances yeah I rekn your pricing would be spot on.

he was saying that if you press the retrig button while a track is playing in that mode it will not retrigger when a trig of the sequencer plays, only when you press the button for the track. Like you can’t put single hits in the sequencer, hold the retrig button, and have those single hits turn into retrigs.

Usually it’s just one stereo track.

Isn’t USD $999 already AUD $1385 without anything added, just pure conversion rate?

All I will say,

Its conceptually annoying to have 10 engines across 8 tracks. Compared to 15 engines across 3. And 12 on one track.

Tho, Elektron have done well on adding features to their Digi line. I’m sure they’ll add more digital engines down the line(as thats the only thing that appears lacking during this early roll out).

I’m not driven to buy off the bat- but I’m definitely eager to desire this thing

If they actually did do a ‘pair’ for this thing, it would be rad to see them go the other way and offer what the Analog Four is but in the Digi package, with some other digital bells and whistles. But I wonder if maybe that’s the Digi line done.

I reckon they’re already working on a Syntone… Seems logical… but what do I know?

  • Fiddlesticks … Apparently there is already a thread about this. Geez… step away from elektronauts for a few hours and now I’m completely out of touch.

just looked at current rate, so the us999rrp + auTax is currently AU$1,455.

So ~ AU$1,800 makes the eyes pop a little to wonder where the extra AU$350 is going, per unit. Still, wont stop me getting it to replace both the AR and AK.

Bought one. Not sure why, just had to. If it’s not for me, there’s always the secondary market. I’ve always loved the DT’s form factor and immediate ease of use once figuring it out. I have an AR MKII, A4 MKII, a DT, and AH. DT is the go-to for its simplicity. I love the Rytm and the A4, they are just not as easy to fire up and go and feel like you’re doing something fun and creative as quick. After watching Dave Mech and Loopop’s vids, I’m looking forward to receiving mine and fooling around with it.

I have not seen anything regarding +drive storage and cant be arsed to scrub through 750+ comments. Still at 2 Gigs?

The real question is is it dumb to keep the cycles if you buy the syntakt

looking forward for OS update add more machine!
think about digi sina machine plus some wave folding ability

when you use sina ut machine of mnm processing by track effect, sound really fantastic

The digitone and digitakt both can output all of the tracks separately over USB.

Only while using overbridge, I believe.

Class compliant, if I’m not mistaken, is just stereo audio over usb

Huh? That’s 80% more than a new DT.

I record all my Digitakt tracks separately to my daw just by plugging the usb in. I don’t think I’m using Overbridge?
