The Trig Count parameter on the Micro Timing menu is not a new parameter and it has nothing to do with the Trig Conditions. Check the manual in section 12.11.

Yes, Trig Counts retrig steps, up to 8 times. Faster with Scale x2.
Advantage : it retrigs envelopes too, Playback page Retrigs don’t.
Combined with %+PRE TRC. :
