Damn! They’re already sold out… Has anyone actually seen it in use???

Here is your answer, quoted from the newsletter:

Spring means many things, and one of them is Superbooth in Berlin. We’re of course delighted to return this year, and set up camp in booth O526. We’ll bring some Digitakts for you to try, and a few of our trusted Elektron Arcade machines as well.

Finally we will get to hear and see some digitaktical action :thup:
To bad I can’t be there :nej:

For everbody who is planning to attend Superbooth, have good fun!!

Sorry if this question has been asked before but do we know if Digtakt uses mono samples or stereo (like Octatrack)

I think I may have answered my own question, looks like samples will be stereo as the analogue audio jacks are stereo;

No, dithering to mono. Output stereo though afaik

Oh, bummer.

I couldn’t decide and had some royalty cash burning a hole in my pocket so I picked up a second hand OT from a fellow 'naut the other day. Just started to climb into that particular beast… tricky to start with having only had an AR before! With that in mind I can now totally understand the potential appeal of this - one of my producer friends was recently talking about buying one and has never touched an Elektron piece of kit before…

Yeah I miss mine. Think I will get another one considering digitakt is mono.

Yep, the mono thing is kind of ridiculous. It’s the main thing stopping me being interested. It’s just asking to be loaded with samples designed elsewhere, and for me, designing spatial characteristics is half the fun of sound design. I think it’s a major missed opportunity design-wise for people who care about shaping sound.

But isn’t just the sampling in mono and then it’s up to you how to handle it? Lfo per track with balance fading from left to right and so on should work, so what’s the point?
