I love my Digitakt. And I think because of that always interested in checking out the Octatrack and to a lesser extent the Rytm. But I don’t see myself actually buying either of them. It’s too much money to upgrade from a machine that I love using. I’m mostly curious.

The one thing I might actually buy if I can get some extra money is the Dreadbox Nymphes. It’s just about perfect for me. It can do weird things. It sounds great and it’s tiny. I’d love for my main set up to be Digitakt plus Digitone plus Nymphes. I just wish it came in black.

An Octactrack?

Preparing for the “Octatrack in 2022” thread

I can’t lie—I’m getting pretty excited about the inevitable “is the Octatrack still worth it in 2022” thread. Mostly I’m looking forward to the greatest hits: aren’t those old effects terrible? Isn’t the sound quality just awful? Should I wait for Octatrack mk3? Can you even buy a CF card any more? And then there’s the opportunity to relive @sezare56 showing us how to do literally anything with a flex machine Good times! I have an alert set for 12:01 on Jan 1st.
