Experimental, avant-garde and leftfield hip hop artists?

Hi there looking to get some pointers towards fresh new hip hop artists more on the cutting edge and experimental side…using hardware live etc

Perhaps not quite what you’re looking for but Tom Misch brings some serious heat when he does a Hip-Hop beat:

Umm not sure about hardware but jpegmafia is pretty out there. He makes all his beats and the sampling style is wonderfully strange.

Strange U from the UK are nice as well… I think it’s mostly MPC but not 100% sure…

El-P,
been around for awhile, but first heard of him via Justin Broadrick’s Techno-Animal album “Brotherhood Of The Bomb”, waay back in 2001 which is among one of my favorite albums… with collabs from I assume other artists in the East Coast underground.

And I have to toss in Otto Von Schirach too. More bass music from the 305 than rap, but still pretty far out with ladies ontage masturbation.

on the newer tip:
Ho99o9: look for these guys, great live show.

Ho99o9 are absolutely amazing.

I did live visuals for Otto in L.A. a few years back, I’ve never sweat so much in my life. That guy is absolutely insane. It was an amazing experience.

One of my best friends is one of the founders of this shop in Dublin. Their record label has some great artists on it. Check out their 7” series. Lots of dope stuff:

Maybe start with Onra’s Chinoiseries.
