I own 2 Elektrons (ot&ar) and one B mixing desk (ufx1204). How do I fit into your analysis? 
But yeah elektron is pretty safe from being cloned. Octatrack might even be safe from being cloned by elektron itself…

You’re not a Mackie mixer customer, you’re a Behringer one and you won’t buy a Mackie.
But you won’t buy an Octatrack made by Behringer.
Wrong on the first point… I own a VLZ4 802 which I used extensively for live shows (back when people used to show their mouths in public). It now serves as a studio mixer for my moogs. I would love to upgrade to SSL, Toft or a Neve or such, but how to pay for that? 
Correct on the second point, I won’t buy a Bctatrack.
But even just rumours of a proper successor to the OT by elektron themselves are definitely a reason for me to start saving money.
Let’s say I’m a customer for B products if their name is either BCR2000 or UFX1604 (the truly innovative stuff that they are also capable of).

Honestly I don’t understand why Behringer didn’t carry on by doing that. Also their audio interface are decent, I don’t think they’re clones.

I’m thinking about a better version who cares about the colour😂 I can always paint it or get a skin. In the end whatever colour they do they always end up with a basic single tone, boring.
Do people really like factory colours?

I do care a lot. Almost all my gear is black or painted black. But I paint the things I’m sure to keep. So yes, I see a black MKII coming with a nice update…
Because there are black AR/A4 MKIIs.
But for you, maybe they’d make a black and white version?
