That’s why I thought about a white version. The OT seems to be a little off since every box got MK2’ed. 
This explains why I never seem to have recordings of all the things I do.

I’m too busy/disorganised/stupid to own an Octatrack right now, but if they were to release a new product I would definitely have some opinions about it.

I just had a disconcerting thought. What if elektron simply make the OT wedge-shaped and black… and that‘s it?

That‘s the most logic thing to assume.
And it would also underline and explain all this nostalgia hype around these posts on social media.
They already confirmed that this will not happen (back in the day when the MK2 units got released), because it would require a complete overhaul of the pcb boards (they won’t fit into the wege-shaped body like the analogs).
Celebrating its anniversary is the most logical explanation.

True, I remember reading that bit too on here somewhere.
Even if it does not make sense at first glance. The Rytm seems „fuller“ than the OT. I have opened up the OT a few times to fix the crossfader and clean the screen. I haven’t opened up the rytm, but have seen interior photos.
I know it’s been MK2’ed, but in a darker grey compared to A4/AR. That’s why it’s a bit off. And now the MK2’ed black A4/AR are off against the OT. Maybeeeee they make it also black… If they plan on doing anything. I mean, com’on nobody got real evidence, right?

Right now I genuinely believe it might be something new. But in the end it might just be a sample pack. Which is technically fine too. Octatrack users will always be pleased.

I don’t want my OT to look like a kids got.
Actually I want an all black version. No prints, or maybe backlight prints in devilish red.
I don’t own a Digitakt but I’m looking at the OT vs DT thread thinking OT’s got to have the better jokes, right?
Besides, if Elektron ever do a new version of OT, I hope the marketing dept gives @Fin25 a call.
