The ones I’ve been to have all had a bit of both - some guaranteed slots from people that reserved in advance, and lots of open slots for anyone that just turned up.
Given that some people have to travel a very long way with a lot of kit, I think having at least some reserved spots makes sense. Also means that the organisers know in advance that at least some performers will turn up.
this feels like one of those situations where there aren’t any rules beyond the ones made up by the person doing the hard slog of organising a thing - basically the glue that holds the world together, and chronically underappreciated by the rest of humanity.
We have been invited to our local non-commercial citizen RadioX today, thursday 12th.
We’ll be live on air from 6pm. Talking a bit about the upcoming EMOM Frankfurt this saturday and play a couple tunes as well.
We’ll be guests at a show called X-wie-Raus, which is a daily format presenting all kinds of cultural events in the area.
Here is my TEMOM set. Tracks originally performed with Elektron gear bounced down to wavs to play on a Blackbox (all I had room for in my hand luggage).
