sliced pizzicato (17th June 2024)

I tried to make an orchestral track in FL studio but had a hard time finishing it, so I put it on my Octatrack and recorded some bass guitar

there was gearlust but it’s gone now 2 (2nd July 2024)

Sprained my wrist the same day the Digitakt 2 arrived, so I haven’t been able to explore as much as I wanted to yet!

This is awesome, it reminds me of a modern take on the classic late 70’s / 1980’s police television drama type music. Sounds great!

TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT (17th July 2024)

Having a blast with the Digitakt 2! The synths are all one shots sampled from my home made sounds on the Digitone.

What a groove, what an execution, what a banger: slow clap. 8 bars make such a difference. Inspiring indeed!

cost effective 2 (11th July 2024)

I made two patterns on the Digitone and liked them both very much, but had trouble finishing them. So I just performed them back to back instead and called it a day

the legacy one or the new GE? really thinking picking it up, seems so handy

The GE edition! I haven’t tried the free version. I’m very happy with it, because it’s easy to read what’s going on at a glance, and it’s easy to do A/B comparisons

yeah been eyeing it for a while now, I love that it has compressor/clipper/true peak limiter combo and I love the meters too, sometimes numbers can be confusing but the needle it pretty intuitive, think I’ll pick it up next sale

analog four is analog (31st August 2024)

I’ve been getting GAS for analog monosynths lately, but I already have an Analog Four mk2

my mental stack was overloaded

It’s been a long time since I’ve finished anything. I’ve been a bit sick lately, and worked on this track while having a headache. It was an interesting experience

I was considering using song mode to help automate the pattern switching and track muting, but I gave up and opted to just do it manually. That led to too much stuff to keep track of and I made a bunch of mistakes

succumb 2 (31st October 2024)

I’ve nothing but good things to say about the Digitone 2  I’ve spent less time making music lately and more time on other hobbies, hence the slow output the past few months. I think that’ll change now!

comb filter strings (2nd November 2024)

There’s a really nice piano patch on the Digitone 2, which got me wondering if it’s possible to make string patches. I’m pleasantly surprised it is!

de stressing with song mode (15th November 2024)

I used way more tracks than I could mute and unmute manually, so I gave song mode an honest try with this one. I like song mode! It takes more work than switching patterns and muting manually, but it’s a load off my shoulders when I don’t have to worry about carefully timing 6+ mutes and control-all tweaking and pattern reloads at the same time!
