I think these are all great. I especially like the first two. I think they’d make great rap tracks
Doug’s right, it’s all great. That 10 second section from 2:01 to like 2:11 would honestly be dope enough for you to feature it as the centerpiece of a composition, really like that break specifically.
Also, those A4 farts at like 5:01 sound awesome, blue flowers style almost.
Thank you very much @Doug and @shigginpit! The synth part at 2:01 to 2:11 are sampled from the Digitone pattern I used on this track :
I sampled maybe a second of that and pitched it down with ping-pong loop mode on the OT.

Hell yeah @Eaves!! This is great. Once a DT master, always a DT master
I realize it’s kind of a bullshit question but if you had to, do you categorize your style as hip hop? I feel like it leans in that direction most (not all) of the time. Sometimes (ok all the time) I find it hard to box myself into one category, just wondering into what slot you would place these compositions? Anyways, dope as always.
Hot damn! I imagine someone in Gothenburg listening to this, asking, “Why’d we bother to make a 2?”
Apparently Elektron are looking to train an Eaves AI and fit it inside the next DT2 update.
I am not into labels, but after listening 8 @Eaves tracks in the last hour it feels like trip hop to me. Very good trip hop.
It’s borderline, but yeah, I also get a trip hop vibe, sometimes though his OT work in particular is very hip hop, and other work as well. Some a bit like Dan the automator, or the production from the Kool Keith doctor octagon album which is straight hip hop but like, psychedelic mushrooms hip hop.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I’m not exactly sure what genre I’d label my music as @shigginpit but if I had to, like @Leonsarmiento I’d call it trip hop. I do like a lot of “old style” hip hop like Jurassic 5 and Nujabes, which might explain the hip hop flavor I I’m getting out of my OT =D
sounds awesome @Eaves
Thank you @Unifono!

overdubbed analog four resampled on octatrack (10th May 2024)
I usually record my tracks in one take, so I thought I’d try overdubbing. It’s a lot of extra work compared to doing a single take, but it was very fun! Also, video editing is a lot more work with multiple video clips to work with.
Inspiration was Star Conquest again. Space exploration combined with mystery and horror!

I’m really digging this “space ambient, but atmospherics are flashing critical and there’s… something… out there” genre.
Hehe, thanks a lot! It’s a fun genre =D

sovende borger (28th March 2024)
I’ve been playing Citizen Sleeper lately and was inspired by its soundtrack. I haven’t come very far yet, and I’m really enjoying it so far
This was recorded in one take and run through the following plugins in post: MJUC (compressor), Maximus (multiband expander), and Limiter 6.
