Drambo (iOS)

There’s a midi note filter module already. Or do you mean some other kind of note filter?

I’ll have to watch your vid later, cos I’ve been struggling with ‘double notes’ when trying to have the Punch-In Looper on an individual track (as in, the clip sequence and playing keys will each trigger both my synth AND the looper), and the Punch-In FX will presumably have the same issue.

Looper on the Master is totally fine, but having it on a Send track doesn’t really work (even though that’s the use described in the module help) even when 100% of the track is on the send knob. And sometimes you will only want to affect one thing, not the entire Drambo suite.

But like I say, I’ll watch your video and see if it demystifies things when it comes to using the Punch-In stuff not only on the Master!

I don’t use the Send method i use the Audio Out module to Bus it 100% to another Track so it controls 100% of the sound😉

Good idea. It would be great to be able to set up some kind of switch between clip/synth notes and this, to avoid using extra tracks. Probably totally possible but not for this modular noob.

You do know Drambo is not limited to the default 8 tracks + Send A + B + Master? IIRC max 16 tracks + master.

and ve’ve got update again!

Holy smokes, I was late to the party on this app, but it absolutely rocks. Feels good to get on with an app and then discover there is an massive thread on elektronauts to get caught up with.

Welcome to the world of Drambo. It’s the best sequencer and groovebox on any platform IMHO.

Where are these release notes from? I want to check what is new in 2.20 but I can’t locate release notes on the beepstreet website or forum.

I see you shared 2.20 release notes earlier (thanks) but I’m still curious where they are kept.

release notes for all versions are on AppStore.
you have to look for Version History – they are all there.

I’m finally coming to realize that it’s better than any of my hardware.

Sometimes you have to go through a few edits before the article actually resonates with you :heartpulse:

Thank you!

Please forgive this boring noob question. I’m new to iOS. Loving Drambo and Koala. Can I set up my iPhone so that all locally stored files (Koala, drambo etc) also sync automatically to iCloud so I can open all my projects on an iPad? And quickly access newly recorded wav files from Mac via iCloud? Or do I have to intentionally and manually push each individual thing I want to sync onto iCloud?

I was trying to get a grip on this too, only in the last Drambo update was the files area made public, I have Drambo selected in the iCloud settings, but it doesn’t automatically upload for me. The only way it works is to click on the path in the save dialog & choose the save to iCloud option.

So I don’t think it’s implemented properly in the standard iOS way, hopefully it will be at some point.

Interested in getting into Drambo ahead of a holiday next week, but I only have an iPhone. Is it worth it on a phone format or does it need to extra screen size an iPad offers?? What do people think?

I’ve made some stuff on iPhone and it works alright! iPhone is definitely better but it’s certainly not unusable and actually scales surprisingly well I’d say

It’s fun on the phone but not really the full ticket.

On a iPad is it better (if less tactile) than a Octatrack. If it was a hardware bit of gear it would be being described as a Octatrack killer (reckon that might be controversial round here ha).
