Deals -- Perennial List of Things on Sale - GAS Warning!

50% off on Heavyocity plugins. Seriously tempted, their stuff looks brilliant. If anyone has experience with these it’d be cool to know. Eyeing up the Scoring Bass, DM-307, Vocalise…

Vocalise is still one of my favorites, really enjoying the sounds. Haven‘t bought the second edition yet but definitely will at some point.

Can you still use the Gadget apps in conjunction with others via AUM and/or Audiobus?

You can do if you are happy using them not as AudioUnits, this is fine. Personally I only really enjoy using AudioUnits these days, there are so many benefits to it so I generally don’t buy apps that don’t support it.

Gadget as a stand-alone is pretty cool though, would definitely recommend that as a good deal at the price regardless!

Bitwig’s summer sale is going on. $100 off the Studio version which makes it $299. $199 if you’re a student, or faculty/employee of a school. Just started using it and am really impressed with all the features it provides. Will take a little while to get as comfortable on it as I am with Ableton, but am really impressed.

I moved over to it for the MPE and poly AT support about a year ago. Took a while to transition from Ableton, but loving it now I’ve got used to it, though I still use Ableton from time to time for Max for Live stuff. Now if only it could support Max for Live, and also quantize audio clips, it might be near perfect.

If you happen to have a Push or Push 2, check out Driven by Moss, which deeply integrates both of them with Bitwig, as well as other controllers.

I still use Ableton, but wanted to check out how well Bitwig integrated with euro and hardware. Was empressed. Would like to utilize both. See a lot of ways Ableton influenced Bitwig, and how Bitwig sought to improve those influences. Its a well thought out DAW and I encourage everyone whos into modulation and integrating hardware with their DAW to scope it out.

I’ve been thinking about getting an expert sleepers es-9 when they finally become available to interstate with my daw. I know expert sleepers made es-8 bitwig edition and that’s what put bitwig on my radar.
