On a positive note Studio One is very impressive. You can download Prime for free and try it out. Then you can open up the full version for 30 days. Similar layout to BitWig but a bit easier to understand and get around in. Can get the standard version for 99.00 which is a bargain compared to the other two, which are around 300.
Is that an ableton function? couldnt find anything like that in bitwig or studio one.
Yes
Yea I can’t offer any suggestions on bitwig. I’m only ableton
I will give that a try, one more shot with ableton. but not today, Im done with it today.
You have drivers latency compensation under audio preference, midi preference (by clicking on device to access it) and track setting
But screenshots will not be super useful my Ableton is in french
Its Ok I have found some instructions on it.
- Midi clock sync delay
- Delay compensation (must be checked anyway)
- Driver Error Compensation
- Track Delay (small D symbol under I/O and S/R)
If you can’t get running just fine you must think to do otherwise :

Or / Replace your computer with a model recognized to working well with Overbridge
Or / Made your LIVE without computer !!!
How could MPC improve this? In terms of getting off the computer but developing tracks moreso in hardware more effectively.
Clock solution actually make working all people (included the computer) on a dedicated clock (often an audio pulse not midi one) i have the SYNC GEN 2 and i can assure you it fix everything. That’s what PRO use on stage when Computer and Hardware is used together (Jitter free)
it’s for SYNC and TRANSPORT
Computer and Hardware follow the Main Clock solution
Before Overbridge there’s existing solution
Like this! 50€ super cheap!
It looks pretty much the same as mine settings wise, but will go through it again tomorrow, see if the error compensation adjustment makes a difference.
Geneoart, Thanks for your help, this seems to be working, beats in ableton closely in time with a4.
Woooohooooo no problem!
I had this working like this several days ago but was having a hard time understanding how the a4 was working as a sound card. I want to see if I can get it working with Studio One and Bitwig sufficiently. Im not sold on ableton interface but will learn it if thats the best solution.
Yea good luck with that. I’m been using Ableton for years but Bitwig looks dope.
Not sure about it yet, its getting to be the same price if not higher price than ableton. I like Studio One but it lacks some of the features, but interface is also very nice to work with.
