Please can we get zoom functionality for editing samples, I was a bit suprised this wasn’t already a feature!

my #1 feature request is for RETRIG to work better:
- It should always trigger in sync with everything else (right now it starts the moment you hit it, unquantized to everything else)
- It should record notes with velocity! I want to be able to crank out a long, 64 step pattern full of subtle velocity and have every trig recorded. That should be its purpose.
Right now RETRIG is only really useful for quick live fills. Plenty of other drum machines like the $300 teenage engineering KO II have retrig features that work this way.

As far as I know, it says whether the kit is being used in a pattern, but not if changes have been made to it since the last time the kit was saved.
Is that not the case, and I’m misreading the icons?

Sure, but my concern is that I often don’t know whether or not the kit has been saved, and if so if it’s in use in some other pattern in one or the other state.
Like I said, this leads to me being afraid to turn off the machine, because it’s too much effort to go through every single pattern/kit in use and re-save to another (or even the same) slot.
It’d be great if there was just an exclamation point or something that let you know the kit was still not yet saved.

Regarding the recently added SAMPLE POS RES setting - the FUNC modifier function in the low res setting is not ideal. It makes jumping between values really super slow / low sensitive. I don’t think this is that useful. I would find it much more useful if FUNC in low res mode would actually allow accessing high res values. So plain / pushed encoder turning would work well for sample chains, FUNC encoder turning would work for precise sample start point positioning.

As opened thread last day, maybe one day using audio in jack 6.35 for audio signal through one voice in pre fx, using filters on it, like other internal tracks sound processed
In standalone mode obviously.

20GBs, Stereo Madness and 16 Polyphonic Tracks, 3 LFOs per Track are quite a nice hands on for Livesets … these are some arguments (there’s more) for me.
But also the rytm mk2 could also have Multiband Filter Mode like DT2.
Maybe implementable in Func + Filter Menu as toggle Option for switching filter modes.
would want a global multimode filter so we can do global filter sweeps

I want to see options for randomize patterns, reverse, ping pong sequencer options. My modular sequencers let me do these things.
I really wish that when you were previewing samples on the sample page it would remember which one you’re on without having to press yes. I’ll load a kick sample into pad one and then go audition snare samples on pad 2 and without fail, every single time I at some point hit the kick so that I can hear how the two work together and then I lose where I was at in the sample list.

Sidechain Source
Not sure if this is feasible, however, the addition of a sidechain source and the capability to do proper sidechaining on the DT2 & DN2 is a gamechanger for creating cohesive and well balanced mixes (especially when playing live and you don’t have the capacity to overbridge stuff)
If it’s implementable that would be incredibly cool especially given that low end build up can sometimes be an issue on the rytm!

I would really like a second filter available for just samples per track. This would make sample layering and drum sound design amazing.

Is this thread still relevant? I’m wondering if after 1.70, elektron is kind of done with the ARM2 besides maybe bug fixes and updates for overbridge and transfer. I would love a filter per track that was sample specific. I would love another lfo per track and better midi implementation, but it’s seems like elektron has moved on.

Well, they stated after 1.70 that they had tried to fit another LFO in, but there simply wasn’t any more room in the memory for it.
If there is not even room for another LFO, which is probably the most requested additional feature of all time, then I concur that we can assume there will be no new features developed for the AR.

When loading kits please change it so that the kits window stays open to make it easier to audition kits without needing to go through the process of opening the window each time. Conversely when loading a new project please change it so that the window closes automatically after loading. It’s annoying to have to manually dismiss it before you are able to access other functions.
