Albums with no filler

Silverbullit made 3 flawless LPs and noone outside of Sweden seems to know them. They were also the BEST live. Highly recommended. Especially the last 2 LPs. They got sued by a US rapper so was called Citizen bird sometimes.

This is such a special record. Seems mad that it’s new and not an age old classic. Seeing her in a few months!

They’ve all got some fantastic tracks, the last album was also great (though I struggled with Marauder and, for better or worse, they seem to have settled into a type). I saw them play on the El Pintor tour, Lights was amazing.

Agreed, the middle records were hit and miss, though Marauder has some bangers. But I absolutely love their most recent album. They played a good portion of that album on the 2023 concert I saw at the 9:30 Club in DC

i had this problem with many rap albums i wanted to list, but the cold vein is so weak in the latter half (aside from Pigeon) in my opinion. i had the same thought when i listed fantastic damage, but there are almost no perfect records in my eyes, and if an album is cohesive and tolerable, nothing majorly skippable, id say it counts

so i understand why you’d list that one. especially from back in the day when we had cds in the car and grew to like anything on the album that was in the cd player for years

also, a bunch of electronic/noise albums i think are almost perfect

so true. this album was incredibly high quality. id say the same for almost every Chariot album. Every Time i Die’s Hot Damn. a lot of post-hardcore from around that era was pretty consistent

Metallica’s first album Kill ‘em All. Pure focused speed thrash metal, zero filler.

Agree about Cold Vein. I’d almost disqualify it for the one where El-P screams “my mind’s not right”… but it does fit in the flow, and the front of the album is so strong.

Thought about including Third—glad you did. For me, Magic Doors is a weak spot. I also skip Machine Gun, but willing to concede that’s a me thing.

The stretch of Homogenic from All Neon Like > 5 Years > Immature definitely feels weaker to me than the rest of the album. And I always turn it off after Pluto cus that All is Full of Love version just feels too dull.
