awesome album
loved that so much in my early 20s. Hard to go back to them, after the direction they took later on

True, I think a lot of Muse fans feel the same!
I was at that Earl’s Court gig, the one voted best ever Muse gig, on mushies… what an experience.
Went to see them recently… very disappointing. Hard to understand why they went so soft and cheesy, like warm brie left out in the sun
A few of their newer songs do it for me. Will Of The People is a terrible album though.
I still love playing and singing their music! Been covering Dark Shines recently with my two kids. Happy times!
John Foxx
Metamatic
His first solo album after leaving Ultravox.
Still my favorite 43 years later.

Wish I could agree… Pete Standing alone squeaks by but I can’t abide Smokes Quantity most of the time. That’s about it, though; the rest is infallible.
The Streets. A Grand Don’t Come for Free.
I love this album.
Classic.
Jessica Pratt - Here in the Pitch
It was Richard Wright’s favourite Floyd album…
Joey Santiago’s favorite Pixies album is Bossanova…
Accurate
LOL - mine too! Massive Pixies fan from back in the day and I’ll argue with anyone who says it isn’t their best album.
In any case there’s lots of albums in this thread I’ve not heard so I’ve got some research to do! Here are some ‘all killer no filler’ classics I’ve not seen mentioned:
Bob Marley and the Wailers - Babylon By Bus
Lou Reed - Rock n Roll Animal
Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers
Elvis Costello and the Attractions - Armed Forces
Sugar - Copper Blue
Spiritualised - Lazer Guided Melodies
Sleater Kinney - The Woods
Arctic Monkeys - AM
Against All Logic - 2012 - 2017
Oh yeah, good one.
Since I Left You by The Avalanches as well
Really applies I think, as I have a more recent issue of the record with some samples removed/changed - most obviously in frontier psychiatrist - and really is not the same experience.
So I think it’s one where not even a single sound from the original release is filler!
Honestly, the first three albums by Interpol are damn near flawless. I suppose I could nitpick, but I can listen to them all front to back without skipping anything
I saw them in concert last year, and it was a hell of a show.
I’ve never seen them but they’re currently touring for Antics’ 20th anniversary so think I’ll do it this year
