Ah! Yes that’s how Ableton do it when upgrading prior to a new release. Had something similar back when, I think, I went from 8 to 10.

I have an LPP MK3 but it’s not currently plugged in. If I have time this morning, I’ll check for you. I don’t see why it would not be working.
Is there any particular feature you’d like me to check?

Thank you! Just if everything still works plug & play. Volumes, device paramaters/macros, sequencer sync and print to clip, mpe aftertouch, metronome switch etc…

If anyone is using the Touchable pro app for iOS, please let me know if it still works, at least for volumes, sends and device parameters/macros, if the script works etc. To this day still the best Ableton Live controller, although quite broken now without updates for more than two years.
If someone knows or has made some good simple TouchOSC scripts that do the same and receive information from Ableton, I’m all ears! I have the one from HK, but don’t like the rotaries for parameters/macros - faders work much better. + The iPhone UI is too small.

I can also confirm Touch OSC works great, and I recommend this script:
It auto-maps sliders on the iPad to controls you select in Ableton. It’s pretty amazing. Check the video to see it in action. I have used it in Live 12 beta.

Thank you! Looks very good, and I see that he added support for the blue hand 16 parameters, which is perfect! The only thing missing is automapped track volume controlls and sends. Will try it on my iPhone.
i’ve been trying out the HK Live Script ( Hugo Kant | Samples | HK Live Remote ), and while very well thought out, because device parameter controls are rotaries, you always need to be mindful and look to your device to change them, which gets you out of the performance. Also very cramped on my iPhone 13 Pro Max which is my primary controller, as always with me. Touchable pro is just so good, and it’s a shame they stopped developing it.
This looks insane. Definitely going to try it. Currently I’m using a Launchpad Pro mostly just to launch clips in Session View while using the Push for everything else. This could do the job instead, and tons more!
I use the notes input quite a bit on the launchpad, so far these pads suit me the most of any other controller and even most keyboards. Transport, click control is also something I use a lot. It’s also super portable so then whenever I travel I can only take the laptop, launchpad pro and my phone. Bluetooth LE would be nice though.
I love the LP. It’s so flexible, and like you say, it has great pads and is super portable. If it had MPE it would be perfect. Not to bothered about Bluetooth, as I find it flaky with the Mac, and it would require adding a battery.

I’ve looked into TouchOsc last year, but decided I don’t want to buy a product that is discontinued… Such a shame!
I’m reconsidering though, as I read it still works with Live12…
There doesn’t seem to be a good/better alternative.
What is discontinued? Touch osc? Nope
