Or did you order the upgrade from somewhere else other than Ableton’s site?

I got the discount because I bundled it with Push 3. Received the Push 3 two weeks late. And in an Open Box. But yes, I was charged in advanced. I’m not going to get into a big debate. It was just a personal observation.

that’s really weird, I decided to get the upgrade (from suite to suite) and wasn’t charged yet too, pre-ordered with paypal as well, and even in the confirmation email it says that payment will be made after 12 is released and they will send instructions how to pay.
and I double checked my paypal that there was no actual payment…

I’d send an email to support just to make sure you won’t be charged twice at least, because this seems unusual.

My creditcard was charged instantly when upgrading from suite 10 to suite 11 (with 12 as a ‘free’ upgrade when released).

I seem to remember there was no payment with the 10 to 11 upgrade well.

I guess that way if there’s a big delay they don’t have lots of people asking for refunds. Plus gives them a rough idea of how many upgrades will be paid for on the release date.

Is ok, you are upgrading to 11 from 10. plus you get the 12 free upgrade. So you can now use the regular version of Live 11 you don’t had before the upgrade.

Ok, I think I solved the riddle and it‘s my bad. I actually went from 10 Suite to 11 Suite. The 12 preorder seems to be added as a Bonus. But Since I already been from 10 to 11 of course they charged me and they just upgrade to 12 when it‘s out at no additional cost.
