fwiw there’s one for sale at ModWiggler for $799 currently. so decent deals can still be had.
well, actually i process drumsamples in Reason with Soundtoys VST’s and or others.
I also use some of the cool MIDI players to come up with idea’s, chord progressions for example using Chord Player, that i then record onto the Digitone
MKS-50 or MKS-30?
The Akai Timbre Wolf.
Good guess and I would like those but it’s a digital synth… No more clues 'til I post the photo after the beast arrives…
Haha - nope!
Devil-Loc is especially nice for drums!
agreed. and decapitator too
It’s arrived! I’ve posted about it here:
My iPad instruments, they just…. last
iPad Air 2 2014, 16GB storage
iPad Mini 2018, 64GB
iPad Pro 2020 12.9”, 256GB
It is really crazy the 10 yrs old Air 2 still serve me very well for practicing but I only use my latest Pro for music production as ONE is enough.
My entire setup not showing on the picture is the sustain pedal and it’s midi convertor.
I have been trying to condense my setup so that I have everything in front of me, instead of some things off to the side. Just recently got the 01/IV which pairs nicely with the Digitone and sounds amazing. Drum machine will likely rotate or pair up with the Machinedrum, LXR-02 or TE Blastbeats sometimes. Because I love drum machines and might have slightly too many now (is there such a thing?).
The little Yamaha is such a powerhouse for me. A great synth by itself and I also have it as the keys for the MegaFM or JV1080 depending on what I’m in the mood for, plus there’s a USB connected so I can use it as a midi controller for VSTs in Ableton. I’m not much of a keyboardist so it’s perfect for me.
That looks like a great live setup to me.
What’s the bottom left controller?
Found a NOS Mackie Onyx 1220i for cheap… don’t need the FW connectivity at all, it’s essentially a 1202VLZ with faders and a few upgrades. Always loved the looks of these.
This will be essentially a submixer for the RML boxes, a few rackmount fx units and Beads. Small patchbay behind routes to and from a Volt interface, plus CV outs A thru D from an Analog Keys.
Built in talkback mic is awesome!
Are there creative uses besides just talking back? (I’d only be talking to myself, heh…) Can you use it as a feedback loop or something?
I’d imagine you can feedback it like crazy! I have the SiX and it has a XLR for talkback so you can do some cool routing.
