Interesting, thanks.
I use it for a ton of design software for work as well as Ableton. It’s really useful if you build a workflow around it.
I still love the focus of this space! Might have asked before, but what stand solution are you using for DN/DT/Hydra? I have an almost identical core of two Elektrons at the bottom and a knobby synth above it, makes so much sense! Like you, I also prefer everything to be at an angle.
Looks like the Roadworx stand to me
Thank you! Everything is pretty ergonomic and fits my workflow!
The stand is the roadworkx synth stand from Thomann.
It’s cheap but sturdy, everything fits perfectly!
Yes it’s that one!
What are you left handed people up to? ![]()

Not much of a “setup” really, but I decided to bust out the OG Polyend Tracker. What a treat. Simple, mono samples, no onboard “synths,” and plenty of wonderful limitations. It’s just a bare bones sampler with a spreadsheet-style interface that my brain loves. Many of the most egregious bugs have been addressed at this point. Glad I kept it around.
It does feel like a superpower that I had to learn to do so many things right-handed. I was basically forced to be ambidextrous.
Shopping at the Leftorium no doubt ![]()
I’m right handed, but had 14-15 years of classical piano lessons. I’ve let my left hand slip a bit over the decades since, but can do a lot of things with either hand.
I’m still trying to figure out what to do about the other synths I have so they still get used and the one I’m planning to get on release (elta polyvox 8) but I’m very pleased with this rig at the moment. Feels like everything works together well, I mostly know which thing to use for which sounds, I’m very pleased with the sound each thing makes, and I have the Oxi neatly directing my keyboard playing to any synth or groovebox channel I want quite easily with the split. Running something through Tonverk fx or sampling it is super easy. Going from jamming to recording is super easy. Things are good. Just wish I had more time to play! Work is too busy.
U-shape is still there, but things have moved around quite a bit. Reason: TV.
I actually didn’t want to change the setup, because I liked how it was, but I wanted Tonverk between the monitors and PERfourMER close(r) to TV, so had to change the setup.
Seen like this, you have a big and great setup!
You really miss that perfourmer, huh? ![]()
Who doesn’t? ![]()
PERfourMER and Peak are my most regretted sell, but they need so much space unfortunately
Regret selling my peak also may have to buy another one day soon ![]()
Kept the digitone OG after getting the 2?
Yes, I’ve been using it in combination with the perfourmer. For sequencing, beats, the fx and an occasional extra melodic layer. But plans or to use Tonverk to do that now, because of the midi-arp and more fx, so I might consider selling it. I just think it’s undervalued on the 2nd hand market at the moment, so might just wait for a while. It’s still a great piece of gear to have: on top of being an fx-box with reverb, delay, chorus and overdrive, a great synth and sequencer for external gear it’s also a stereo in/out audio interface. that can always come in handy. I know I can do this with DN2 aswell, but I’m mostly using that as a standalone groovebox.
What’s going into the input of the Tonverk? Sends from mixer?
