-Sure, he’s been practicing so much lately that he deserves proper sheet music and this is way cheaper than buying books.”

Writing new patterns for an upcoming project on this tiny, yet powerful and actually deep setup.

The Syntakt really benefits from some grid, coming from the Boum. :goat:

Push+Metropolix is a really interesting idea! What are you controlling on these tracks from the Push?

Yeah it’s a fun combo so far! I’m still learning the ins and outs of Metropolix, so I’ve mostly just been capturing its output in MIDI clips. I took my main 8-track template (starts with one Drift, one Wavetable, and one External Instrument but I regularly change them around with Hot Swap), changed the MIDI tracks’ inputs to “FromPush,” then added separate MIDI tracks for Metropolix track 1 and track 2 that I can route as I please. This allows me to play my instrument tracks live with MPE, or sequence them just by changing the output of one track.

Phase two is to integrate Metropolix into my four-track live jam template. But I’m still tweaking the template so that I can make more than one type of song without losing track of my session. I thought I was being so clever by adding Loopers and a resampling track with custom mappings on the Faderfox UC-4, but goodness did it get confusing. I would also like to map the Mod Lanes to synth parameters, but that would limit my ability to Hot Swap so I need to think about it and commit to some trial-and-error when I have more free time.

Phase 3 is using CV Tools to control the Metropolix’s input parameters. But I’m still getting the hang of the control knobs and Mod Lanes, so that’ll be a while down the road.

Edit: Also, Metropolix is a great partner for the Move ever since the 1.5 beta! I set it up to control tracks two and three. The sixteen-bar clip limit on Move gives the patterns plenty of time to resolve, even with Accumulators and Probability running.

Wait, now I’m even more curious — you use it with Move? I wasn’t sure what you meant by “giving Move time to resolve itself”.

Just joined the forum today, here’s my setup. DT2 pushes midi info/clock to the Novation Peak, Line 6 Echo Park, CBA Blooper, and Hologram Microcosm, which all goes back into the DT2. Keys are Novation Launchkey 37.

Thanks! I’m going to try powersliding into them on a low curb to start I think.
