Your Setups (Part 2)

Moved my dusty, neglected turntable upstairs which I can now easily listen to while mixing in audio from my PC thanks to my interface and monitor situation.

I could be in the market for a tiny kick drum like that. What company makes that lil guy?

either the scaling on this is throwing me, or you’re 10 feet tall to be able to use a Digitone way the hell up on that top shelf!

Taye Drums. The kick is an 18 x 7.5 from their Go Kit, super compact and sounds great.

Added a side view pic
I have a kick port on the reso head w/ no muffling inside, medium-low tuning, then using a hard felt beater getting a nice tone out of it.

Holy smokes! I didn’t realize how shallow the kick was before. That’s incredible!
I’ve got the Ludwig Breakbeats kit with a 16x14" and always get compliments about how great it sounds live, despite the size. The depth of yours is very intriguing next time I’m in the market though haha

It’s a work in progress. I got tired of taking my setup apart and putting it back together over and over for different applications, so now it all lives together. I will be adding a Zoom L6 and a midi box to sync everything up. Completely battery powered!

Radical

moved into a new apartment and finally feeling more or less settled. i have so much more space that now i have the upsizing bug. despite this, the new setup is actually more focused.

then i put this shelf here for extra things to live on. that cringy sign above the shelf is from the greenroom at Neumos here in Seattle.

Thank you @noizebusters !

You always have the nice views! Is that a soldering station in the other room?

oh yeah the view is a high priority when it comes to apartments. ive lived in plenty of shitty no view basement rooms, but never again! and yup, i need to hop in there and fix this amateur soldering job i botched.
