No story to tell, really. The IIIP has always been my ultimate dream synth. I tested the waters with the Model 10 and decided to get a IIIP if and when I was able - if one were to become available. This setup came up for sale about five weeks ago, complete with the Sequencer Complement. It took me about a month to put the not inconsiderable asking price together, after which my wife and I flew out to California to pick it up. I rented an SUV to bring it back, and we stopped in Phoenix for a few days to see friends and family here. One of those friends had the Rhodes stored in his garage, and offered it to me. It just barely fit into the vehicle with the Moog. Who was I to argue with such convincing evidence? It has been a whirlwind of a week, and this purchase doubtlessly counts as the most gloriously idiotic thing Iâve ever done. But Iâm an old man and if I donât fulfill my dreams who will? 
Thatâs a story! I think Iâm slightly older than you, and I endorse glorious idiocy. Looking forward to more setup photos when it gets back home, and maybe a Current Sounds post or twoâŚ!
I suspect itâs an old hardcase for golf clubs. I found it on the side of the road, so thatâs just my best guess.

nice score! those go for almost $400. itâs actually a drum hardware case. the golf one is similar but has a bit of a bulge on the bottom half of it. functionally⌠I think theyâre basically the same thing.

I have one of those cases and mine was a ground score too! It was laying in the parking lot the day after a flea market. Great case (I use it for drum hardware), Iâve been using mine hard, bordering on abusively, for about 16 years.
Has handles = portable, amirite?
Ha ha, thatâs what @DonovanDwyer told me, too. However, having just heave-hoâed the Rhodes inside after the long journey home, I am not so sure Iâm convinced!

Took my beatstep, reface dx and model cycles out out the setup. So now my 606 and my 303 is the main part of my setup, both sending clock, cv and triggera to my rack.
Super simple and straight forward. Love it
Needs a foot stool and a dog.
One can replace the other and vice versa.
Finally got something going again in the new house, courtesy of some leftover mdf and moving boxes 
New old iMac as hub with the OT clocking everything. Lots of other stuff to connect but at least Iâm up and running again
