Pwoar.
That’s some tasty design. Sturdy looking stuff.
Would love some Stroh now I’ve seen the business end
Thank you!!
I love these standoffs. I use socket and button cap screws, and then long set screws when I need to stack. There is zero wiggle
Glad you liked it, it was a mission for sure hahaha.
Yes I could not resist putting the classic stripped Rogan on it instead of the Alpha. I find that the Alpha suit very some modules but not all of them.
That´s the size I would like to achieve… would you mind to share the info in modular grid? just to see configuration?
thx
Certainly. Here are my racks:
No major changes, as I only added Bruxa. I also have Dynamix in the rack, instead of CVilization, but I’ll likely swap these from time to time.
I wanted to make a bookmark type of post because I’m happy with this rack. It’s a good feeling to feel like I’m done, but this is modular after all… So I’m curious to see if I need to change things later. Right now, only PPW doesn’t always play nice with Tempi, but otherwise I feel this rack works very well for me.
This past year, I bought more modules than expected… 14 in 1 year, which is insane but I do blame Make Noise for their limited run releases (Erbe-Verb, QMMG & Bruxa) but so far I have no plans for more modules. I obviously see things that I want, but I also don’t see myself using those same modules. That’s a good feeling.
In late 2025 or 2026, I might consider a pair of 104hp cases, but I’m in no rush to get extra space (or make room for the extra space needed to store them). .
Hey @Stazma curious, where did you order your knobs? Your in France right? (I’m in EU as well, Netherlands that is)
Hey there! You mean the Rogans on the 259t? Either Thonk or Samodular: https://www.samodular.com/
Thanks! Watching your COsc shootout video now / Wowsers, hour+ long
That was a hard one to make. The original cut was almost two hours hahaha
Recently, I have done something similar.
I’ve spent past few years of Eurorack shopping & chopping. I’ve spent way too much time on Modular Grid and Reverb. Reading manuals. Sending bug reports etc.
The last thing I was actually doing was making music and I honestly found myself not wanting to use my Eurorack because I wasn’t finding it enjoyable.
So I made the decision to strip everything back to just Make Noise modules (I started with a Shared System and longed for those ‘simpler’ times). This restriction will hopefully curb my spending (time / money / headspace) and get me back to just playing and having fun.
There are a few exceptions to this rule. Toppolobrillo modules are allowed as I find their modules to be both simple and in tune with the Make Noise ethos (and aesthetic). Schlappi is also allowed, mainly because I don’t want to let go of my Three Body.
So yeah, I’m hoping these limitations I’m putting on myself should hopefully mean more output, more money in my pocket and smiles all round.
I have a feeling something like that is what led me down this way to keeping it mostly simple. We had a couple medical scares in the beginning of the year, and while all is good, that probably had a big impact on wanting something that can just work right away.
The videos are another big factor because there’s no shortage of tips & tricks, plus fun creative tidbits to consider.
30 second clip of Bruxa fun with initial effect off.
The voice is just STO (sine) through Bruxa and Erbe-Verb. XPO for kick, Spectraphon for pseudo-side-stick/clave like sound.
This looks awesome. I think I’ll get it eventually. I’ve got a bit of a Qu-Bit bug at the moment. Mojave is tremendous and combined with this would be amazing. Perfect Circuit did an interview with Qu-Bit about Stardust (link below). Seems they really nailed this one.
Well, I was set on getting Stardust but now that you’ve introduced me to Mojave, I think I may get this first!
Nice demo. Sounds fantastic. There’s a S1 mkII on sale locally for an asking price equivalent to 4948 euros! I’ll pass.
