On iOS when clearing a project then starting a new project, with scale set to A minor, the pads are not correctly mapped, the two lower right hand pads are set to the same note and a few octaves lower, see pic below.
Also noticing the app on iOS seems very sluggish when the sound category browser in the GUI is open, so if you change a category you get the spinning busy icon. This has only been happening since I added a bunch of samples today.
I then tried with my Lenovo Android tablet and it was ok, even though the Android is much lower specs than my iPad.
I put some MC-202 samples in and had a first try with the visualiser for MC-202 day, very basic effort, but I think once I learn how to use it properly the visualiser will be quite useful.
Thanks, nothing special really, I just used the app, set the audio source to USB, Seqtrak is connected by USB to iPad, then recorded from within the app and saved it, then it goes in ipad photo library as a video.
I guess it could get pretty interesting using videos previously made with the visualiser, loading them in as a background, record that with new visualiser stuff on top, rinse repeat. Kind of like resampling but for video.
I also have an Android tablet which I want to try, to see if there is much difference in quality. Not sure if the windows app can record the Seqtrak via USB, but eventually Iāll try that too, but I donāt think windows app can use video backgrounds IIRC.
Iāve had exactly this issue with stems exported from my Woovebox, with the same solution. Itās to do with the headers being incorrect I believe. When you export with audacity it adds the correct headers.
I have to say that the keybed of this little thing is great. Better as the keybed of my Keystep 37. This channel, in which you can hide the USB cable, is also great.
The only disadvantage is the lack of a MIDI TRS connector. Maybe Iāll build in a Teensy as USB host.
I just tried the Android app, seems to be about on par with the iPad one, you can add photos or videos as backdrops and record via USB the same as with iPad.
What I think is really cool and a big advantage over the OP-Z visualiser is that you can route external audio into Seqtrak which can then be recorded over USB along with the visuals/video.
Talking of accessories I highly recommend a Launchpad mini mk3, you can set it up to work nicely with Seqtrak. Hopefully at some point I will make a video showing it.
I have 3 custom modes set up, 1st is track mutes, the 3 strips as sliders, 2 sliders for master fx parameters, a few spot CC fx buttons, good for jamming. 2nd is a few octaves of notes for melodic play, a row for 7 drum triggers, a row for 7 sample triggers. 3rd is a mixer with Vol, fx sends, eq, etc.
What is cool is when you are on a specific channel/object eg keyboard the notes playing on Seqtrak are shown on the LP, same for CCs, so it serves as a handy visual aid too.
Each of the custom modes can have elements on fixed channels, or a selectable channel which you can change on the fly on the LP.
