I’ve already investigated on Chorus pedal recomendation/query for a chorus that is able to compete with the likes of Alpha Juno, Analog Four/Monomachine. But there can be so much more … ![]()

Bought the box today to extend my DN2 to 8 outputs to record individual outs on 1010 Bluebox.
Plan is to use the DN2 as midi brain for chords on my Tubbu-teched Juno6 (chorus!), adding bass and also drums on DN2. For Pads from the DN2 itself: chorus and reverb (Bluebox Cloud Reverb or Strymon BigSky)
One serious problem I have with this box (I know - you can do also the CV stuff):
A proper design of the DN2 with a reasonable box size and 6 individual out would be a much better option than an extra USB-powered box.
Greetings from MachineDrum and MonoMachine ![]()
Mentioned it another post, but i am really look forward to running mine into:
BASTL THYME (thinking percs, and textures),
BAD MOOD ( snares ; looking forward to making some crispy dirty snares), chops)
splitting stuff out to my BASTL BESTIE (using the feedback/saturation),
CHROMA CONSOLE (on everything),
But most off splitting things out to my various SP effects (SP-303, SP-404OG, SP-404MKII)
Rather than set and forget I really like moving things constantly, experimentation is what i am looking forward to most. These days i usually have sampling sessions into digitakt where i run stuff through effects on the way in, and have to be more destructive, think the outbox will allow me to be a little more cavalier with my approach.
The good thing is that I can use all of them now. The dilemmas are over.
Buy: the possibilities are endless so who knows!
Use:
Isn’t the main attraction routing out individual tracks more so than just plain midi routing? There’s endless midi tools out there for breaking out. This, not so much.
Im gonna use digitone into ehx talking machine, boss reverb - both pedals into octatrack, octatrack back into digitone.
I have a bunch so I’ll probably just try things when I eventually get an outbox.
Notable candidates:
EQD Space Spiral for weird modulated delays
EQD Grand Orbiter for phaser stuff
EQD Palisades for all kinds of tube screaming
EHX Oceans 11 for verb (especially the spring and plate)
EHX Green Muff because you know, gotta try some big fuzzy things.
JHS Charlie Brown for amp-ish sounds
TC Hypergravity for some compression
TC Quintessence for harmonising effects
TC Afterglow for dirt cheap but great sounding chorus.
TC Half Of Fame 02 for stereo verbs.
TC Vortex for flange. (it has a really great Electric Mistress emulation)
Boss DD-7 for all your standard delay stuff (and a reverse delay)
And then the OT MKII of course. Having four separate Syntakt inputs on that will probably be a field day already even without any pedals ^^
I’m planning on using it to send my M8’s delay and reverb, and chorus channels to my Digitone’s delay and reverb, and chorus
Already have an H90.
I’m thinking Timeline MX (I love me a delay they can make any old shit musical
)
AHFX
Razornater
That’s as far as I’ve got, I think the fourth aux on my as yet unpurchased Mackie 1642 will go to OT.
I’ll be routing to a Nightverb, a Zen Delay, and my hated Microcosm (which I probably won’t hate sending a single track to). I look forward to sending CV’s to my desktop Moogs. I’m going to take over the dining room table as my figure-it-all-out lab before trying to integrate it into The Big Mess.
Im thinking of pairing with a model cycles or iPad and my old 1604VLZ mixer, use my pedals which are mostly for guitar dirt but fuck it rock and roll never dies. Big Muff, Fuzz Face, Plumes, and a Rat. Or setup a proper dub mixer with analog delay feeding back on itself. To me, i don’t see it as some awesome new Elektron device to keep me elektroning more because I don’t own any multi out interfaces and this one has an insane amount of i/o for its price compared to other products in its price range. Would be fun to actually use my amps too and just go with the whole pedal thing. If you haven’t plugged a synth or drum machine into a bass amp you are missing out
Edit: Im a big dummy and I guess the Models don’t do OB. Oh well I will just use @ess wonderful instruments in Abetlon ![]()
Chase Bliss Lost & Found, for me. It’s compact and sounds great.
The Sherman Filterbank is also one I could see heavily used ^^
This said, these days I’m using DNII into TV and I must admit TV is an extremely powerful FX pedal ![]()
Yeah, it’s actually the best option, and I already own it. However Outbox puts me into the crowd of people wanting 2 extra ins instead of 2 extra outs ![]()
Always have been.
I have my RE201, Oto BAM, H90, etc etc
Maybe this is its own thread but what mixers are folks thinking about pairing with their Outbox?
I’m worried my Model 12 might give me latency issues since it’s the only Model without an all-analog signal path—I like to do a lot of rerouting and parallel processing, and I’ve found that it can really add up after a while.
Right now that makes me think of the Zeds, or the Model 16 but that thing is hardly compact. The L6 seems like not enough inputs. Neither does the Bluebox… Maybe the L8 or just a line mixer? A DPS maybe? Soundcraft Notebook? Old 8-Track Portastudio?
