What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

Groovy new width/height adjustable DJ table for my Twin Darth boxes. Just missing Heat FX+. Definitely getting a new base with wheels. 3 PD power banks make it completely mobile so I’ll be able to easily take it up on my rooftop deck for parties/performances. Collapsable base for easy packing/transport.

Damn that looks pretty fresh! Is it sturdy enough? Like could it handle someone bumping into it? I like that you get so much real estate on the deck part, and then still have the adjustable platform above. Did the packaging tell you the table’s weight unloaded?

About 32 lbs. It’s very sturdy and breaks down quickly. Has a built in handle. The vents and steel construction make cable management easy. Magnet strips and Velcro ties will keep it tidy. Laptop riser for the extra level so plenty of space for up to a 49 key. Table adjusts out to 48”.

That’s actually pretty solid. What’s the name of the manufacturer?

Does it say what weight the elevated shelf is rated to hold?

Liquid Stands. They have a bunch on Amazon. I recommend going with the options with wheels vs X base as pictured above unless you know you won’t be moving it much. There are cheaper options but the tabletops were smaller. Never heard of this manufacturer but I’m a fan now.

It looks really good in person.

So it does not include the riser part on top?

Nope. That’s a laptop riser I got for couch work but it’s great for table use. Even has a built in fan for gear that heats up. I’m 6’5 so even at max height the table is too low for me to stand upright while performing. Now I can adjust gear to any height or angle also freeing up space beneath. You have to zip tie it to the table for extra stability.

I got the Adjustable Z-Stand with wheels for my keyboard and it’s really great. I was put off by their branding but the quality is there and well priced too.

What?: Yamaha DX9
Whatfor:? Installing the DX7/9 EPROM by ajxs to see and hear how much DX7 is in that

comments on DX9 and common conceptions thereof

„let’s make a cheaper version of the DX7, with worse keybed but let’s also cripple functionality and compatibility and make it not too cheap, so nobody will buy it except when DX7 is oop“ project by Yamaha.

This looks terribly familiar but - what is it?

ModelQ2 from destiny plus… its pretty new I think but I found a used one. They make other stuff of a similar style/vibe though.

Great stuff. If I may ask, how much was it?

oh why did I have to click into this thread?! I was completely gas-free and now I am not… I’m going to have to keep an eye out for this unit. I love weird sound things, I like self-contained devices and this is a weird, self-contained sound device thing!

I ended up grabbing a used one from the last batch that was sold at essentially new price minus import fees (1300usd) but I Believe his prices will fluctuate with batches and revisions, along with conversion rate and all that jazz. So yeah you gotta reach out to him for something exact.

Thanks. Well, that isn’t exactly cheap.

Interesting little box of fun. It is what it is. A generative bassline thingy. With a reasonably gnarly filter attached. Quite nicely
made albeit with open sides in the way some
of these things seem to be. Initial impression is that it has potential to be quite fun. Will post a few more thoughts in the dedicated Basilisk thread.
