D-Sub to 1/4 inch female cables in the Black Friday sale so I can chuck nearly everything into my audio interface. Eye watering despite the discount
how do you want to connect the Elektron via usb?
Not via USB, via analog 1/4 TRS inputs.
Cool! would always put a little mixer between the Elektrons and the speakers…this will allow to better manage volume at source and avoid frying the new speakers…
Until now I had only saw it and (barely) used it as a VST. The real thing is something. I might tell this is the last acquisition, at least for 2024
Intention : let it breath, make it growl
Limited edition blackout version of the BitQuest with 8 fun and cool digital effects in 1 fun and cool box along with swappable EEPROMS featuring the effects from the Atmosphere and various tremolo effects.
So I got quite a big package this week (merry christmas!).
- Big Six: tracking the OT (as seen on the bench next to the laptop) but most importantly, hybrid mixdown from the DAW (as seen on the desk).
- DNII: Depending on the inspiratiom/idea, either as a groove box, then record loops to OT for further mangling, or I mostly come up with the track in OT and I replace some samples with my DNII patches.
- Beyerdynamic DT770: To hear my Big Six mixdown with the most precision.
the SEM is the most musical and lush sounding mono synth i’ve heard. it’s just so good and never sounds bad and has this sweetness to it. always wanted one and should’ve bought one 10 years ago when they were around again. incredible synth.
This one is really remarkable … Love it
once I sell off bunch of gear, looking at maybe Jomox AB MK2 or Perkons maybe Arp 2600.
Bought the rest of the FabFilter plugins I didn’t already have.
Intention: more awesomenesserer music!
I’ll probably do similarly. Was thinking about upgrading my izotope stuff but their bundles are too expensive this year, IMO. Same amount of money to complete with Fabfilter, so…
I joined Elektron family with dt2. This image is nice sketching/mobile setup pared with Deluge and Ipad/AUM combo
Perfect team.
Nice Combo. Is the Faderfox controlling the ipad or the DNII ? And is improving your workflow.
…
I am just asking for a friend
intent: have fun and enjoy having a decent acoustic guitar of my own. this is replacing a 10+ year old $80 Valencia classical that i restrung with improper strings (as they were all i had)
Yes faderfox is controlling tracks on ipad. Main faders for 8 channels and some effects on knobs, light setup. I use it more like a mixer
Pair of HS5 monitors, I used a JBL bassy as hell Extreme 2 before. So hopefully these will be a bit clearer. I will keep the JBL for the kitchen so I can listen to 90s jungle as I eat my breakfast.
They make nice guitars. I once had a Takamine G series that I quite liked. It was all maple, top, back and sides. Very bright but in a good way.
I got this NFC card reader inside of a 3D printed case which turns the teensy based fast loader/sd drive that I use with my Commodore 64 breadbin into a freakin nearfield HU card reading instant launch machine.
This was super cheap, like half of a pocket operator, but it’s still just the most indulgent of useless things right down the center of the lane at my buy button and when I saw the demo, I knew that I had to get it.
The top one with the stickered cards is just the stock image from the printables page, the more C64 colored one is what I bought.
Intentions are to load shit really fast, wirelessly. with cards.
