What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

Orange keycaps for my m8. intention: press them with a thumb.

I’ve always liked those felt covers, do you find they shed at all or are they pretty solidly constructed?

I think they’re pretty solid. The one on the keystep is a bit bent, but I think that’s because there’s a gap where the keys are, so it sacks a bit over time. No issues with the other ones. They won’t give you the screen protection of a desk saver of course, but will keep dust off your equipment.

I har them but i sold them cause they were attracting so much dust

Different experience for me, my instruments with felt don’t attract more dust than those with a decksaver.

Fors Chiral. Intentions are playing around with it and imagining I already have an MPE controller.

No, not the monitors, the desk!

Intentions: I work full time remote so mostly that. But it’s also an upgrade from my stack of shelves where I used to play the OT and sometimes cram the Erebus next to it.

Soon, there will be more gear to put on that tiny desk (only one or two pieces at a time though …)

But mostly I’m glad I’ll be able to use the monitors again. They were in lower parts of the shelves and yes not having them level with your ears sucks… so it was headphones only for a while.

Surely that was not the most rational decision I’ve made considering I’ve had a MS-20FS in the past, and 2 K2s to replace it since then (that I’ve still got). But it’s been so long I had dreamt of an MS-20M that I could not pass when I finally found one…

Typhon!
Intensions to fill my case with a nice mono synth for leads (t8 303 is mostly for low end) with a mindset if something comes and can’t fit in then something needs to go out. :slightly_smiling_face:

The best version of the MS20! I love mine so much.

I got myself the same IKEA standing desk a couple of months ago. And since i now can twiddle knobs for hours without hunching, I’d say that was a worthy investment.

I got a simple stand for the DT2 and it made a pretty big difference. I propped it up before but that was not stable, now it’s inviting to get going.

I’ve got the FS and often wish it didn’t have a keyboard.

front brakes and struts for car, new fence, roof doenspouts and property taxes. Sad no synth budget but will sell unused gear to fund new gear

I feel your pain. We just had a complete roof tear off done along with all new gutters. Very expensive. Next up is the fence.

oh no! sorry to hear that. Yeah had to spend 4k to re-shingle 200 square foot of roof and replace five rusted leaking downspouts on my home. Still, less expensive than a new roof.

My first pedal. I was sick of using a chain of plugins. Not because they didn’t do the job, but because I needed my hands on it… ( i usually record audio direct from the synths to the DAW). I don’t like to use FX later and then automate million things. I go with my instincts.

Already used it today and it’s really good!

Intend to buy nothing more, sell a few things off. I have the two devices I coveted most for the last year (AK and ST) and all I want to do is make music now. :slightly_smiling_face:

(Sorry for a picture on the floor, I was too excited to rearrange my music desk when I got it )
