Snap - found one at a Cash Convertors for £115 and seems barely used. Wasn’t planning on getting one, but inspired by you pulled trigger. Lots of functionality and lots to explore for that price

That’s about what I paid for mine (but in Euros !) – there are total bargains to be had, especially when I suspect lots of CC clientele simply have no idea what they are. The staff where I bought mine kept on telling me it was a mixer…

Glad to be of inspiration, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I am right now; eight channels of triggers into a Dysmetria is proving to be quite fun, and the fill mode is terrific for adding movement, subtle or otherwise, to the sequences.

Worthwhile checking out how different buds can give different sound.
Expanding foam style buds can make in-ears sound completely different to the hollow rubber ones like these headphones come with.

Chi-Fi in-ears are awesome. Amazing quality for little cost.

Lol. No but I like to keep my man purse clean.

Hum, I’m wondering if I got the meaning of your question right?

They are recommended to have audio going thru them for a certain amount of time (30 hours or something?) for the drivers to be broken in. Sometimes such suggestions are audiophile snake oil baloney, but I definitely noticed a difference.

:rofl: I definitely got the question wrong.

I didn’t know this info, thanks for sharing!

To answer the question : not yet.

Saw in the HW Sales thread that Amazon UK was selling original OP-1’s for around 600 GBP, which was about $800 USD. I had some doubts about buying from Amazon UK, but this little beauty arrived unscathed about a week later. I had one before and replaced it with a Field, but for some reason I always regretted it and missed the MKI. The Field definitely sounds more high quality, but there’s something so charming about the original. Also, prefer the chassis on this one. The Field has the aluminum base that shows around the edges, whereas the MKI is all one unified piece. It may even be plastic, i can’t tell, but i find it more aesthetically pleasing. Anyway…

I agree, it’s hard to beat the look of the OG.
Especially in person it looks amazing.
And it’s also interesting how cameras never capture how grey it is,
they always try to make it look white.

i was not going to do this ever — but …
bought something in Microsoft Store for the very first time in my life!

intention: this thing (Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3i) has weak CPU (Pentium N5030) – too weak to run BAM well.
so there are two options for sketching music with this – FL Studio Mobile or venerable NanoStudio1.

wow, just wow.
this beauty was on offer, so i ordered it immediately.
Shanling M0 Pro hi-fi audio player / USB DAC.

intentions:

  1. a replacement or at least a backup for my old FiiO X1 – because, well, it’s one of very few gear that i still didn’t have a backup unit for.
  2. it’s also a class compliant USB DAC – so i won’t need to carry dedicated USB audio interface for my iPad anymore when travelling.

PS. yes, i’m the one who still does not listen to the music from a phone.
i strongly dislike when anyone or anything distracts me, and hi-fi players still have better sound that iPhones.

Damn, that’s been a long time, I did not look at the hifi DAP market. I still have my Fiio X3 (1st gen) around the house but I am not using it anymore. Enjoy !
