I’m now learning how much bookkeeping and preparation is associated with performing live electronic music in a way that the sounds and patterns are predictable and available and triggered on command.
Yep. 1000%. This is one of the big reasons why I moved from an Octatrack to Loopy Pro for my live sets because importing stems, slicing them and putting them on tracks; setting up scenes & parts that are consistent across banks; troubleshooting weird behaviour is just not much fun without a computer editor… Call me “spoiled by the DAW”.
1st goal: To beat writer’s block, zone out and crank out rhythmic loops as spontaneously as possible before getting down to the serious stuff with the M8 / DN2 combo.
2nd goal: To get my 7 year old son into beatmaking with a machine that’s simple, tactile and fun.

The new XTS stands arrived. The large single stand has the Virus Ti2 desktop on and the double tier large stand has the Novation Peak and Bass Station II on.
Also just arrived today.

it does sound a bit tame compared to og 303 and the td-3, but tbh i much preferred the square wave of tt-303 than the rest
it’s pretty amazing for mellow 303 stuff
and like a million times better sounding than my tb-03 lol
and it comes with a fancy ass bag and a plastic dust cover

I thought seriously about the MK1 and almost pulled the trigger on that one. I know I’ll end up at least two 303 clones. Maybe I’ll like how the MO pans out when I borrow my friend’s and pair it with my TD-3, or maybe I won’t and will be back to considering one of the Cyclones. What I do know is that it won’t be a TB-03
So here’s a magnetic (non-adhesive) Synthskins cover for my Digitone e25. I bought the DN secondhand and there was already a fair amount of scratches on the stainless faceplate, so I thought that this would be a cool way to protect it. Even with the busy subway map pattern the Elektron labeling is easy to read, and I like how it all works with the DN colors.

Will you use the power adapter only for pedals or also some synths?
I’m not sure if it’ll work on synths I’m not clued up on voltage stuff just know it’ll power the 5 pedals I have here. There’s a ton of leads in the box splitters etc

Perfect machine for that purpose. :Samples with the right samples will also get you there.

you can use cioks to power an elektron device, but you have to merge 2 outputs, so it doesn’t end up making a ton of sense once you have a few things to use but its nice to know you can with the right adaptor
If any of the synths use 9v power, you will likely be able to use just one to power something like a sp404 mk2 for instance
it should power the Drop nicely!

tehehehehe. Added a Dimension C which makes the Ise Nin tits. The Gamechanger Autochorus didn’t work for me. I could get it close to the Tal Juno Chorus VST, but not near exact with the chorus modulation. Once I pushed it to get it to the exact settings I had on the vst, it just sounded like detune instead of a lush chorus, so onto the market it’ll go.
The IseNin. coupled with the MKS-50, is such a lush combo. Rev2 16 voice is out. I spent a few hours comparing the sounds with the same settings on both the Rev2 and Ise Nin and the Rev2 thins out going up the keys. Ise Nin retained its body. It was a fun little experiment. The OB-6 got me closer to the pads going up the keys than the Rev2
