Get the hapax when the funds come up. It’s big but it makes playing melodies so much more enjoyable. I’m currently browsing all the Triton Collection presets on my PC and building melodies from that.

I also like using the step sequencer on it too. I can imagine what kind of fun you can have with that synth.

Yeah the Elektron sequencer is great but I think the Hapax would be so much more fun for melodies, like you say.

Also here’s a strawberry for scale (best I could do sorry)

That DT2 works well as a reference to

Found this randomly at a pop-up book shop when visiting Portland ME for a wedding.

Can’t wait to get into this, the bits and pieces I’ve read so far have been so interesting. It came with a whole set of large lithographs as well. Really lucky find.

Frankenstein strat. Not Fender, someone put the decal on there.

My intention is to play aggressively to benefit from therapeutic effects. It’s easier when you don’t have the cheapest possible Squier that doesn’t hold its tune or intonation and cuts your fingers with its terrible fret edges.

that is the way.

I bought the Akai MPC Key 37 recently. Still setting it up.

My second Elektron synth after DN. I couldn’t resist. I intend to use it as a monosynth, DN for polyphony.

A total bargain from the local Cash Converters; and the first time I think I’ve bought any audio equipment in an actual shop in over a decade (probably). It had been sat there for about a year so was priced to sell, and cost about as much as a new SQ-1. The previous owner had even left their USB PSU in the box as well.

Intentions: so much cv/gate/trigger sequencing - and the v2.3 firmware seems to have addressed a lot of the earlier issues from when it first came out too. Plus it has an actual paper manual, and not printed on one oversized sheet as with so many other Korg devices !

This is the first picture I’ve seen of the Key 37 that actually somewhat depicts the red how it actually looks in real life (I have one as well) It’s way more ‘burgundy’ than most of the bright red pics/vids you see online.

This new addition/substitution to bass pedalboard:

Intention is to carve the best bass tone possible. Initial impressions are very promising. Looking forward to this weekend rehearsal and upcoming gigs in september.

I am surprised this is the best drum machine on the market right now😂

Great purchase, i was looking for one for ages, it is on a long pre-order list

It has potential :joy:

The main issue currently is that it has timing issues, so the envelope doesn’t fire off correctly half of the time, which is not good for transient samples like kicks.

just ordered another one while it’s still in stock somewhere.
intention: getting stereo sound.

Charge 4 (and 5 too) is actually mono.
this can be a problem since i use hard panned parts in my music quite a lot.
so i got a pair to address that.

the phrase «while it’s still in stock somewhere» is definitely my favorite this summer.
just ordered:
Zoom MS-50G Mk1
Zoom MS-60B Mk1
while they’re in stock somewhere

intention: hack for MS series that makes all effects available for all compatible pedals DOES NOT WORK for Mk2. maybe someday it will, but we never know.

these two have mono input, but since most of my synth are mono as well — it’s totally fine.

Intentions are to tweak reverb on the fly for live playing/jamming.

My other favourite reverb is the Meris Mercury X, which is incredible, but editing sounds is fiddly, and the interface feels more set up for guitar players with its stompbox controls.

My soon-to-be Reverb (another one ).
