Plan is to put crisp snares everywhere

And add reverb anywhere

If you want spacious, I recommend a handful of cubensis or cyanescens.

Please share the results. I have been considering getting one myself.

My latest two are a Kobol Expander and SQ-64. I have been spending a lot of time with them and I think I started to get really good at them.

Thanks! And here I was thinking ā€œnice if it’s ~$99-$149 I think I’ll get oneā€ haha. Not even close. Looks really beautiful!

Ive still yet to try one!!

I know this isn’t the thread for it, but how do you like it??

Torso T-1

Intention: Let it write all my masterpiece pop songs.

Nah, not really. User still has to make some decisions about what settings to use before any sound that is structured in some useful and interesting way comes out.

I’ve come to really appreciate black lettering on white housing vs the opposite. Fun to play with!

Just bought this yesterday, second time owning one. I really didn’t get on with it the first time (a few years ago) but I’m in a different mindset now. I’ve had a lot of stress lately about the music hobby, I’ve gone right off using the computer/DAW/plugins and I’ve bought and then returned many bits of hardware in the past 6-12 months. Not a good pattern of behaviour and adding to my anxiety about the whole thing.

I recently impulse bought a Digitakt 2 but I had the same annoyance as before, I just found myself curating and browsing samples and not making music. This Digitone came up at a good price, open box but basically unused and with the full 3-year retailer warranty.

I’m definitely having a better time already, I’ve had this less than 24 hours and I’ve already come up with this little sketch/loop this morning which is entirely from scratch except for a modified kick drum preset which also serves as the snare/clap with some P-locking. I hope this is a good omen that I can make some minimalistic electronic music with one box and no computer (this was recorded into Bitwig as stereo, no extra processing apart from a peak limiter).

I know it goes without saying but this thing is a dub techno dream, so easy to get great dubby chords and drown in delay.

it’s gorgeously made but i wouldn’t want to drop it due to the internal glass. the dosing cups are convenient and work really well for a lightweight like me who really just wants to microdose, and it tastes a damn sight better than my old Pax 2, which was revolting tbh
