What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 2)

Ordered an Origin Effects BassRig Super Vintage for bass guitar.

Works great for me. Just keep in mind that the MIDI jacks on the RC-5 are the 3.5mm jacks.

New Year, New Gear.

I purchased a Digitakt, my first Elektron device and my first foray into sequencing and electronic music creation. My intentions are to learn the workflow well enough to see if there are any interesting ideas percolating in my brain, to develop a new skill (music/soundscape creation), and most importantly to find a little bit of happiness through the act of creating.

I’d post a pic of the DT, but we all know what they look like and my desk is far from Instagram-worthy.

pfft instagram-worthy is sooo 2023, 2024 is all about messy desks anyway.

Be really careful with those cheapo USB MIDI adapters. They often have lousy firmware which cannot properly handle Sysex, among other issues.

In that form factor, the Roland and iConnectivity ones seem to not be as problematic. Search the page I linked above for the word ‘trash’ for more info.

Got an A4 MKI. Plan on using it for my first live sets this year.

I’ve heard people say the negative aspect of these is just why not use a smartphone? but I guess if it’s raining this is a better option and I’ve been really convinced by tatsuo suzuki’s work with the TG-6

Got a Grandmother. Got it as my first Moog and to finally have something with some form of modularity.

Bought last week and arrived today so still no new gear bought this year

My intentions is to minimise my gear to few bits for live jamming

They’re a lot of fun. Enjoy the spring reverb slamming as well.

DT is a good choice for this! Enjoy getting to know it, was a fun process for me

if everybody needs a 303, i’m everybody.

look what I found in a local store.
NEW !!!

intention: we’ll, analog 303 clones (like my lovely MAM MB-33 Retro) are fine sound-wise – but got no MIDI control which is highly desirable for me.

It is a pretty good deal—a spring reverb that I can use to process external synths with. :call_me_hand:t5:

It’s ticking all the boxes! Always wanted that guy.

Mine is an Empress effects Euroburo to go along with a semi-modular and couple utility modules for my modest setup.

If you’re actually looking for a TB-3 I noticed that Analogue Haven has N.O.S. of these on hand and their current 12% holiday coupon seems to apply.

First purchase of the year: UAD Complete while it’s on sale. Intentions? Not to sift through and cull a bunch of demos every time there’s an update… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
