What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 2)

It’s the 2.5, my friend who is super subaru car guy guru bought the turbo and sold me this one.

My favorite Legacy generation. Lower it :small_red_triangle_down: :space_invader: :boom:

I like this thing to go up and down chunky forest roads, so if anything I’d make it taller, but it’s probably just fine as is.

+1 for lowered sti swap and jdm front end :jp:

First new guitar in years. Scored a demo D’Angelico Premier SS from Sweetwater at nearly half-off the regular price. Intentions are to practice, practice, practice, and build-up my calouses again after years of not playing.

Finally got a MioXL:

Came with 12 extra midi cables too!

Intention - sort out my midi world so I can have one central hub replace my RK-006 and a Kenton merge box in the studio and free it up for a more permanent home in a forthcoming mobile setup. Hoping I can run Ethernet to PC / DAW, and USB-DAW to Akai Force at the same time for a dream hybrid setup. Any source to any destination with far less recabling wasting valuable music time!

And if I can get it working right I can more easily use my iPad for midi over WiFi! Ideal for controlling different devices around the room so I can just move it to where I’m working with no need to cable up.

My cable management currently leaves a lot to be desired…

Then when I’m finally happy with my routing and the ergonomics / layout of the hardware area it’ll be time to build some stuff with wood.

RNBO license*. Have been hovering over this for a while but watching a lot of @nedrush 's and Philip Meyer’s videos lately have tipped me over the edge. intention- build my own max externals, VSTs etc, hopefully for some more focused and efficient patches

*admittedly not a very sexy photo

wanted to check it out since it was first announced. and although I really don’t need it, I also found it impossible to pass up at $1500. :man_shrugging:

super impressed with the sound and options so far. need to get my head around the patching I/O more but that’s just a matter of using it. having used a lot of semi-modulars, I’m impressed with a lot of the decisions they made. and build quality is phenomenal.

Got a couple of goodies today

New MacBook Air laptop that I plan on using mostly for Live, with Push 3.

And an Audient Evo SP8 for some badly needed extra inputs.

Because who doesn’t need more delay pedals, especially in black and if they do reverb and pitch-shifting too?

The results are suitably dubby so far.

oh damn. does it have all the things in it? the FX and outputs and all that business? such a great sounding sampler. those converters are so musical sounding. lush.

if the fan in it is loud there’s a noctua quiet fan that fits perfecly as a replacement. same power requirements etc. well, it might be slightly different. i didn’t have the ultra version… just the regular e6400 and the fan i put it in was silent. Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX 40x20mm

enjoy going on a deep dive. the filters and modulation are really great. some of those filters are so great on pads. you don’t have to do anything… just put the right filter on a pad/string sound and it’s instant amazing.
