I think the Technics WSA1R Acoustic Modeling synth I picked up for $250 recently might be my best find since they usually go for a few hundred more, as well as the rarest. The local used listings here are usually pretty thin on synth gear, but I’ve found a few goodies from people who didn’t know what they had.

I only ever buy things when they are a good deal, as this being an “investment” is the only way I can swing my GAS past the missus. I never have any guilt in selling on at a higher price. :smile_cat:

Monomachine ($400 although import tax made it slightly less of a good deal!)

I got to use a 20% off discount on the Monomachine off Sweetwater after the price drop happened. I was pretty stoaked to get a Monomachine I had wanted for a while new at around $670

Closest I got to a good deal.

Came close to getting an OP-1 off ebay for $530, but the guy I won it from claimed it was stolen D:<

450€ for my used OP1 is definitely the deal I have had most pleasure ever :smiley:

I’m also quite glad Thomann sold me for 899€ a brand new Machinedrum mk2 UW + bag bundle when :3lektron: dropped the prices, right when I had the cash… Would never have bought a MD without this, while I’ll never get rid of it now !

600€ for my used but flawless MM mk2+ was a pretty good deal as well.

In the end my 1350€ Rickenbaker 4003 MB is the very reason why I ended discovering electronic music :smiley:

I had to drive a few hours for some of these, well worth it. Those deals make up for the shitty prices we currently have buying new.

Forgot about casio sk1, sk5, sk8 and yamaha vss480 (think that’s the right one? The one with the mic on a phone cable?). Got all of those at different times for £8 total at carboot sales. Don’t seem to find as much recently since I had kids and carboot became an endurance test :wink:

If it’s any consolation, if I want to buy a AH today, it’ll cost me $250 CAD more than it would have three years ago, which is a 33% increase in price. That goes for pretty much anything I want to buy new, so my MS20m purchase did hurt a bit.
