One entry only please. I think I will go for Jomox Alpha Base
Analog Four
MachineDrum, without any hesitation
(I had the Rytm but the sound possibilities don’t compare)
mduwwww
Without a doubt, the classic 606. (Always wanted a 909 and MD though, maybe my answer would be different)
Roland TR8-S
Simmons SDX
Gene Hoglan.
Probably the Korg ESX-1 (but an honourable mention to the Roland CR8000 as it was my main drum box for almost as long.)
Roland TR-8S
For me, it has to be Roland TR-8S
Roland HandSonic HPD-15.
no pedals/hi-hat controllers plugged in on this pic — but this is possible.
also, has built-in 4-track sequencer, so i love it paired with DSI Tetra.
Digitakt
Few votes already but TR8S for me
Lars Ulrich on Peyotl.
Although I have replaced it with a TR-8S, the Korg E2 (both synth and sampler versions) is the machine I most enjoyed for percussion duties.
As I want to hardware sequence everything via my MC-707 the E2S was no longer viable as every sound receives on a different MIDI channel.
As all the TR-8S sounds respond to a single MIDI channel, I only need a single track on the MC-707 to sequence it.
I mean, everyone (?) loves a 909, but for this price? And what does the seller have against Belgium? Seems rum to me…
TR-8S for me too…just good fun for jamming and love those sliders!
MD no contest.
