I hadn’t considered the consumable bits. Those do need to be replenished sometimes. Strings wear out, so do drum heads, no matter how careful you are with them. I suppose I could make picks and if I really had to I could turn drum sticks on a lathe but it would suck.

Honestly I am more than happy with my gear as I have tons of great synths and guitars. I am having to spend a lot on taxes and home maintenance for next several years but all good.
