I have no deck savers or dust covers for any of my gear…ironically I have too much gear to afford to get covers for every piece…such a stupid problem to have lol
I find it oddly satisfying pulling the decksaver off my gear!

I let the cats go in my room only accidently ) And I wait until they go out. Especially if more than one! 
Even if the synths are covered and protected! I have more things to be dropped/destroyed…
Also I always put a soft plastic bag on my PC’s monitor (the one which was a package for it). Just for a case of a sudden drop of anything from my shelves. Also it protects from dust when it’s off.

I know that Chinese sells protective glasses for many modern cameras. I think it’s possible to find the one with a proper size! Also they sell some kind of “gel-based films”. I’ve didn’t purchased this type yet. BTW, did somebody bought it (for a tablet or a smartphone)?
And the last option if it’s impossible to find a right size: it can be made DIY with a thin acrylic sheet. Maybe it’s not very easy but it’s not hard though. If the screen’s level is not higher then the case then you’re good to go (just make it slightly larger and use a bit of glue but accurately!).
Probably it’s possible to buy acrylic sheets with two-sided duck tape (already applied). Then it will be easier to stick it on.
Same. It’s like a mini ritual. Like turning the power switches on. I remeber back when I used to play shows a lot, getting out my guitars and pedal board, uncoiling my cables, setting the cabs and head up was all ritual. like praying to the amp gods.

yeah. A cat knocked that plant off of the bookshelf that was nearby. Luckily the pot itself did not land on the Roland.

I knocked a microphone over and busted up the screen on my Digitone. It was an easy fix though. The little window is like 10 bucks. And now I have all black keys.

you get your decksavers from Temu? cuz i have like 10 and none of them have done this
there’s even a line of foam on ones that press again the wood end cheeks of certain synths. DSI tempest, perkons etc… i think if you put alot of force on the top, and it’s on an uneven surface and it comes off center that’s possible that the rough edge could get at the paint. Trying to use my imagination here to figure out how these could cause scratches

can you recommend any particular model that fits elektron oleds?
one option you have, if you visit one of the cell phone repair stores that offer custom screen protector installation, they will cut and apply it to your screen for you, perfect fit and installation by a pro. Just an option of course 
i personally don’t love to use them as it reduces contrast a bit on the screen but on the digi boxes they’re so bright it doesnt matter

from my experience the camera glass screen protectors are much higher quality then cellphones, that’s why I suggested them, obviously there’s some degradation but nothing significant, I think having extra bit of insurance worth it, as long as it fits properly
