Joking aside, this is a good place to start: Max For Live Curated Collection
Although missing one of my favorite developers http://kentaro.tools

Still hoping and praying for scales in Opal.

I’m praying to cycling/ableton creates the way to take the max for live interface visuals like opal to see on the Push 3 screen 🥹.

Si I keep my wallet safe for that :sunglasses:

can’t wait for the next fors thing!

BTW is it only me or fors discord channel has gone?

Yeah I should really get on that – Opal is quite complex so it takes a lot of time to add things to it, so I’m always a bit reluctant to get started in lieu of other things. Are we talking a quantizer or just entering notes into the sequencer? Both?

Probably both, right? Heh.
I’m thinking you want to switch to different scales and have it quantize to try different modes, but also as a bit of a helping hand working with the notes in the sequencer when adhering to a scale.

That would be really cool. No idea how feasible that actually is though– depends on the underlying complexity of the UI implementation on the Push screen. Regardless, would be a ton of fun to conjure up some fun graphics on it.

Me either! I’m trying my best to get back to a regular working schedule but this amazing late summer weather is keeping me on my bike, haha.

We decided to take down the Discord, it wasn’t that active and for me it’s way easier if all support questions land directly in our inbox.

I’m not the original poster, but both would be great. However, if there’s a way of entering notes into the sequencer that’d be amazing. I’m only saying this from the perspective of using Push.
I’m aware of the API limitations, but would be super cool if possible.

That said, I’ll probably immediately buy whatever comes out next lol.

Both will be great! Personally I’d see a quantizer more appealing, so that we can randomize all and have a more musically coherent results… Maybe not global? so that some tracks can run free, I don’t know…

absolutely legit
and a bike ride sometimes help more than 8 hours in front of a computer, for ideas and the mind in general – hopefully :stuck_out_tongue:

Exactly this. It would be the cherry on top to able to randomise sequences and have them all musically work.

@Ess Would it be possible to add something to Opal so that we can change patterns while keeping the sounds of the original pattern? Something akin to a kit system in elektron machines. The lack of such afeatures is preventing me from using the opal sequencer. ( I use opal devices in a drum rack instead).
I think you said you’d get on to adding that in discord but now the server is gone it seems.

It’s of course possible, but not without some serious reworking of how the whole pattern system works. I don’t think it’s very feasible for me at the moment unfortunately.

I understand. Would it be more feasible to just have the option to copy the sound data across patterns without the sequencing data?

Yeah, that’d be quite easy!

I had a problem with Push 3 Standalone (V 2.0.25)… Some Fors devices (last versions installed) had missing parameters. It´s only me or anybody had the same issue?

Which devices and parameters?

All except Chiral…. I haven’t parameters on oscillator page for example…

Solved…. Weird issue, i put all the devices on a folder in the user library again and now are working.
Thx anyway :woozy_face::slightly_smiling_face::+1:t3:
