That’s so scarily close to my life, I’d say you were clairvoyant. Luckily my girlfriend is in the same band, so she agreed with me ![]()
Is it a mostly Electronic Music Band?
A Phone.
A reverb pedal along similar lines to analog drive
A hybrid Analog/DigitalFM noise/drone/drum machine
Glad they haven’t been in a rush to get something out for NAMM
I’d like something like this:
digital osc (digitone, monomachine,… and please additive synthesis)
sampling engine like in octatrack (pitch, time, etc,…) with a human operatable looping/pickup option…
different types of inputs (line, mic, instrument)
send/return thingy like mc707 (with guitar pedal level / line level switch)
programmable performance knobs like a4
fader with scenes like octatrack (perf knobs and fader in combination could be fun!)
analog multibandfilters (like in flame mäander, but with resonance - plockable…)
master fx with direct controls.
let us plug usb ssd into it (accessible over usb)
and last: please drop overbridge, and make legacy option audio over usb just like mc707.
yeah. that’s it.
for such a box i would throw all my fkn gear out of the window. and i would pay a lot for it.
Keep the made-up garbage on GS and Reddit, there’s some real nutters on both.
Lol… I mean I did say I just read it somewhere. I didn’t comment on its authenticity, nor did I try to assert any authority on the matter at all. It’s not like it came with a flag of ‘made up garbage’ and I thought ‘Oh, I know everyone on Elektronauts loves made up garbage!’.
This might figure as a Digitakt Feature Request but it would be great if they could make the Digitakt audio USB class compliant and also bring out Overbridge for iOS. This would mean that I could usb stream the DT into the ipad’s audio effect’s buses (via AUM), plaster a range of effects on each channel, all controlled by the DT’s usb midi, and then usb stream the mix back out to the DT’s analog outputs. This would make me very happy.
Hopefully both of these features are currently being beta tested by engineers in Göteborg.
“Digilike” new hybrid synth (same format and sequencer as Digitone) mixing analog VCO, digital VCO and Samples.
I would love to mix short acoustic samples with a synth engine, like the Roland D50’s LA technology but with analog VCO’s.
A partnership with Spitfire Audio to create some kind of Albion eDNA epic harware synth would be amazing.
I’d like a multi power supply (for e.g. 4 Elektrons). I’m tired of unplugging and replugging them.
A cool unit would be some kind of mixer/looper with SD card and faders for performing and recording sessions.
Cool thing would be to have some kind of advanced song mode for every Elektron machine, so that you can really perform from here.
And a way to capture such performance, and reedit it
And assignable performance knobs and sliders, as well.
And 3 stereo Aux sends/returns, plus 3 mono aux sends/returns.
Like to see more Digi boxes. I love the size and look.
Yuppp, class compliant audio is something I really miss since switching the m:s for the digitwins. I could take or leave Ob tbh, so long as I could stream multichannel to whatever device - just let me plug into my phone and hit record dammit!
An advanced sampler that is Overbridge enabled. Digitakt Pro / Octatrack mkIII ? That would be game-changing in my opinion.
Digidrum, a drumsynthesis Machine, Like Volca Drum…
Ive been thinking about something like this for a while. Same forum factor as DT but with the option for stereo or mono tracks, 4 voice polyphony per track, timestretch, and built in master live FX like stutter/gate/lfo, etc that can be sequenced on its own track or performed live. Wishful thinking but if it could be 16 tracks instead of 8 with the option to choose if it’s an audio or midi track would be insane.
Definitely feels like it would go beyond Elektron’s “limits breed creativity” ethos but would be a game changer in today’s climate. I’d easily drop money for this.
Yes! And please make it also for Digitone!
Posting rumors from GS and reddit is basically the same as this in practice ![]()
There are some… negative attention seekers on both.
