Let me correct you:
Big agree. But at the same time you mentioned āorā a few times. Rytm is no doubt flexible, but being locked into a limited workflow is also really nice. Iām super intrigued by this instrument.
I didnāt translate the Amazona article yet, but Iām wondering if the sample slots are one shots, or if there will be any layering (velocity, round robin, etc) available on each slot?
Am I understanding this thing right: itās a mono synth designed to make percussion sequences?
If thatās the case Iām in love. Iāve been using a Circuit Mono Station like this and it sounds f-ing crazy hearing the synth snap between p-locks. Very impressed by their boldness
Edit: Iām totally wrong
I need a video of it, I really like their instruments, they often sound more raw and basic, but thatās the charm.
Seems like you get sound-locks, so make a bunch of sound variations and then sequnece them?
This could be nice butā¦
Vermona DRM-1 + Digitakt 2 ![]()
No need to be like that.

So if Iām reading correctly, you get 16 samples per project; with 6 sequencer ālanesā. So presumably those 16 samples can be split across 6 tracks.
Now what Iām really curious about is if the analog voice itself can be sequenced / triggered. Iād hate to have that spare analog voice available if it couldnāt be utilized by one of the 6 sequencer tracks.
Fantastic idea, there is no other device like this, I already have a DRM1 but this could be a cool portable solution
This looks pretty good but it reads to me like the little toe on the tempestā¦ā¦
100% to this⦠I am not into the seq/sampler aspect, though I find it interesting⦠itās not for me. The synth side it interesting if it was packaged in way that I could send midi and CC to it.
Very excited about this one.
I just was reading a comment at the Amazona-article, so iam just passing the information i found for people who are interested:
6 Outs of the sample voices
1 Out of the analog voice
2 Ins
1 Sum-Out
An SD-Cardslot
MIDI-I/O
USB
Main and Phones Out
Further more: āThe Vermona employee, who was already hoarse on the first day, also made it clear that the analogue sound generation will be modular and therefore interchangeable.
But the best thing was the sound: adipose! And it is more compact than the pictures suggest.ā
This is sounding nicer than the HEXDRUM to my earsā¦
Yeah, and AR analogue sounds are bland imo, also takes 10 years to dial in a sound ![]()
Love how it looks - need more demos but really dig the old school minimal vibe of it
Between my ST, DNII, EssenceFM and OT I feel more than set for drums, but damn this thing is cool
I hope the sample engine is powerful, capable of processing the sample in real-time with funky/glitch stuff
Sounds very good but depends on sample manipulation possibilities and analog filters/drive for the sample voices would be nice
