I just got a torso t1 and im really frustrated. As if this thing didn’t come with a manual.
Trying to get my vermona drm1 and perfourmer to work with it and just getting nowhere.
Anyone want to help?
Install T-1 config on your computer and check the midi I/O settings
The manual is on the web:
There’s also a quickstart cheatsheet thing:
It’s a deep device. Go slow…
We also have a long general thread for the device:
It’s brand new so do I need to do updates?
I know but I guess I got lead on by the reviews saying how quick it was to get started.
Within 20 mins of getting my perkons I was well away and loving it. Guess I kind of wanted that with this
I think maybe it depends in the device you connect it to. It’s extremely fast to set a midi channel for each track and super easy. Just press down down the ”channel” encoder and turn to desired channel pad 1 = channel 1 and they are already mapped out channel 1 to 16 by default. Hope that might help a bit
Speaking from experience, it really takes time to learn it and build up a vocabulary of things that you like.
For a great explanation on the different sections/types/possibilities, I would suggest to watch the Mylarmelody video, cause he’s good at explaining and there’s a visual guide as well.
I watched it but the guys voice makes me uncomfortable
Even if it’s brand new you may still have to update it. I got my brand new T-1 a couple of months ago and it needed an update. As mentioned, you will have to set up the MIDI I/O using the Torso config software in order to get it to sync with other hardware.
If you’re on Discord, Torso has an official channel where there is a chat and FAQ dedicated just to the T-1. I don’t visit as often as I used to, but the people there are frequent users and are very helpful when it comes to advice.
Thanks!
Got a link for that discord Chanel?
I thought i was the only one who can’t watch his videos because of that…![]()
