That was my impression/fear. Whatever it is, hope it’s a real workflow thing, not just some FX.
A minor nice detail: It’s exactly the same height as the T1.

Does it have full size midi or just trs? If it’s the same size as the t-1 I’m scared it just has trs… and I promised myself I wouldn’t buy anymore hardware that just had trs midi lol. Can’t find a photo of the back of it.

I’m the other way. I prefer TRS MIDI to DIN, as it’s so much smaller and neater.

For my studio it is just a hassle as it is not optically isolated, it is a lot more fragile, and it involves dongles to connect to the rest of my gear.
But the main issue is that it is an indicator of the products target market and use case which usually doesn’t match with me or mine.

Lol, well I am already about an inch away from going entirely itb. Main thing stopping me right now is that the used gear market is absolutely terrible and nothing sells anymore.

It’s awful isn’t it? I’m to the point it’s more fun to just set things on fire than have 40 watchers not even make an offer, sitting there for months and months on reverb.

Yeah just saw the new Roli block M has a 2,5 mm midi. I really like the 3,5 mm ones but below that not so much. However I bought the CME Bluetooth widi-jack adapter and it has 2,5mm so have some cables already

Yeah if two devices has the same mini TRS standard (A or B) you can just plug a normal stereo AUX cable between the devices without any issues…
I do it with my OP-Z and ZOIA Euroburo.

What!? At that point it feels like they are just trolling…
are they telling us that the only way to have proper midi was to use a 2.5mm jack!? There was no way they could have used a 3.5!?
