i’m not sure its normal …
i would assume whatever the value of the velocity is, (ramp / random ) holding the step should display the value … which in this case is also a ‘parameter lock’ … esp if it’s not identical to the one on the trig page
maybe slicing will come but will be polyphonic so is a longer term development project? Personally I feel most TV users want the QoL stuff sorted before new engines
I wouldn’t mind if the slice machine was monophonic ![]()
Is there a way to preview a preset? Func+yes does nothing. I can only preview multisamples
The “piano”/subtrack keys.
I can only hear the selected preset for the track not those in the list :\
Yes, with a 128 slices sample, Single Player machine, keytracking to Start and End, with an offset.
Have to check settings, worked well…
Sometimes I have long pads in 1/8 scale. Then l, a few days later I open the same project and the pads are playing at normal speed, but in the page menu it says 1/8. This happens randomly and it would be a real problem in a live performance situation. I can’t identify how and when it happens. For me it seems randomly.
I just bought a Tonverk. It didn’t come with any stickers. Wtf, Elektron?!
Trying to figure out how to perform FX without control-all or performance macros ![]()
Unfortunately not ![]()
Will experiment with this soon.
I would love a simpele slice machine though. Even like it was on DT2 in the beginning, when you could not adjust slices. Monophonic is fine with me.
Who wouldn’t love a slice machine? ![]()
with lfo slice destination, yes i miss that , currently i make custom multi instrument and use the random arp but not the same fun. but i think tonverk have some unique perks to explore , so if it doesn’t get slice i won’t be bored.
Ah ok, so it’s not user error.
Wow, this really feels like an oversight to me, and something that should be fixed as soon as possible. It’s such a crucial feature that I’m surprised other things like the various Grainers and Overbridge were implemented first.
A preview system like the one on the OP-XY would be great: when you select a new preset while the track is playing, you can hear the current track using that preset as a preview.
I guess I should send an email to support ![]()
Mine didn’t either, but since it was an open box I just figured they got “lost”.
But, while I like the Tonverk, Elektron is not quite sticker-worthy yet.
I feel your pain. It’s very odd to me that subtracks and multi sample instruments are easy to audition but presets are not.
i presume a multi preview is ‘just’ playing a sample from a range … … it has to load in the relevant sample / key group … tonverk multi’s are one big sample (those captured on device ) so it may impact responsiveness. .
a preset / instrument (it always confuses me) includes lfo / 3 x fx etc and could be a range of machine types to load in to create the sound of a preview … so its more complex than ‘just playing a sample’
but its natural to expect consistency across instruments/preset/subtracks etc . …
it seems to be a good idea for preview to have its own audio stream (via overbridge) … could be used in a good way to drop in long audio clips that arent part of the sequencer/track sounds during a performance. … have everything playing along from the sequencer and then drop in a big spoken word section by just using the preview functionality.
I gotta say the key tracking and velocity mods are really great. I wanted to be able to have drums sound kinda like they do on the A4 and this really helps with that. Fun! The Tonverk is still kind of a mess in a lot of ways. But it is also such a cool box, I think the messiness of it is probably a sign of how great it is going to be as they develop it further!
Wavetable drums with the key tracking and velocity mods… Wooo!
