How about using it to sequence your other gear, bypassing the syncing issues that you have?

I’ll try to set Tonverk as master for bitwig and other elektrons in overbridge mode. Cheers for the suggestion. I had everything following Bitwig clock atm.
If you’re going to use Tonverk as your sequencer for other gear, keep in mind that it doesn’t yet allow saving MIDI CC assignments as presets.

What issue are you talking about ?
Latency, program change sent too late ?
latency main thing . if i can nail this ill check for drift
Did you test it recently ?
Latency totally depends on audio routing, who’s master or slave.
I mesured 2 ms latency with TV master with its audio in DN2.
3 ms with separate outputs in a mixer.
DN2 master, audio plugged in TV : 4 ms.
TV master, DN2 audio in TV : 15 ms !
So beware of hasty conclusions !

yes definitely not an easy device , so much going on with FX and routing , also even if it’s only 8 tracks it can be in reality 64 tracks ( 8x_subtracks ) and 16 inserts FX + 8 bus FX + 3 Sends FX +1 master FX per pattern. so a lot going on inside only 1 pattern !
I had to set how fast bitwig responds to tempo changes to 0 (fastest)
I had tonverk playing the metronome sending midi out via USB c to macbook pro/bitwig bitwig follows midi clock from tonverk.
I have only bitwig metronome playing and TV metronome through audio in and had to dial in around 56.9ms delay in order to line up theticks of metronomes(by ear they flanged nicely at this setting and worse sounding wehn adjusted either direction).
So the instability here for me is that everytime i press play on tonverk to start playback of bitwig, it seems to start from a different point in time so to say.
On digitone bpm meter following bitwig it shows a detected by it master bpm from tonverk (through ovebridge) plus/minus a little bit always when pressing start/play on tonverk.
A split second missalignment spike at the start and each time random one…
on the video attached i have tried to capture that first moment of spike of bpm using slo-mode on iphone. I just press PLAY and STOP on TV. Recorded screen is of DT2 (which is following ovebridge in bitwig, bitwig synced to usb c midi from TV).
Why there is such a spike of random bpm just at the start of playing I wonder…
To me looks like this is the irregular jittery part that i can notice by ear as well. project bpm is 80.

FWIW I got a Tonverk yesterday and spent today hooking it up to my Neuzeit Drop and Oxi One Mk2. I love the Oxi One sequencer (greatly prefer it to Elektron sequencers) so I thought I’d try using the Oxi as master clock with Tonverk receiving clock and transport from the Oxi via the Drop.
Oxi is connected to Drop over USB, Drop acts as MIDI merger (ie Drop MIDI data+Oxi MIDI data are combined together) then the combined MIDI data is sent to Tonverk over MIDI DIN (via one of the Drop’s MIDI TRS out ports).
The reason I’m explaining all this is because, honestly, I expected it all to be a hot mess in terms of MIDI latency and timing frustration. It was an experiment that I didn’t think would work brilliantly after all I’ve read about the challenges of Tonverk following external clock and the inherent latency from Tonverk audio input ports to audio output ports.
And… it worked. First time. Brilliantly. The timing is BANG ON, solid, tight, no drift. It’s one hell of a setup and I’m delighted with it.
I’m not sure what you’re experiencing, but from what I’ve seen today, it is possible to make the Tonverk play just as nice in a multi-hardware setup as any other Elektron box I’ve owned over the years.

Oxi one is giving clock for both TV and rytm. Tight and on-time.
Consider TV has 12ms of latency, so you have to pass audio through it to compensate.

Love the oxi+TV combo. I also hooked up an E16 to have more control on tracks. I assume you have neuzeit Drop for this purpose.

I was looking at this thing to use with Elektron boxes. It seems like a great, compact solution for having all the track macros; it includes them all, plus two additional macro knobs. All the parameters are interchangeable for CC numbers. I suppose that by mapping it to the auto channel of the machines, you only need to switch tracks and use the Mod Pod to adjust the performance macros.
Or you can also buy 16 of them

Hi! I have it. But the problem with the Launchcontrol XL3 is that it can only send CC. So you can only control the modulation wheel and breath control macros. Combined with this, it would greatly expand performance possibilities because it can also control aftertouch, pitch bend, and velocity.
I don’t know, for how small it is, it seems like a good addition.
Is it only me, or is the filter envelope too flat in decay? LFO in the exp shape sounds much better for plucky sounds or bass… Pity there is no control over envelope shapes…
