Anyone know how to retrig a filter envelope on a single player track?
I used to do this a lot on digitakt using the filter trigger
Switch plocked on green trigs to bring life to sampled loops, but the is no flt.t control on Tonverk.
Only way I can think of doing this is using the multimode filter effect but it only works on mix track
You can cheat by plocking Start on the trig where you want env filter retrig, so that your loop plays normally.
Should be also possible on a bus track with filter fx + lfo.
Will check after coffee ! 
Edit : Verdict : I’d use Start trick. Saves fx slot and lfo, and you get a proper envelope.
So you mean find the right start point for the timing, say for a retrig half way through a one bar sample plock sample start to 60? I’ll give it a go

Exactly ! Works perfectly and doesn’t take more time than a bus / mix track + filter fx + lfo.
Caveats : you can’t add / remove them on the fly anywhere.
Edit : @Blake-Neon you probably should use mono mode or reuse to avoid overlap of release…
Thanks @sezare56. I’ll try it that way, I had some success with using an lfo but as you say you don’t get all the nice envelope shapes.
Hopefully they may add filter retrigs in at some point!

On a Single Player track ? How do you trigger it ? (I also tried with an lfo triggered once with plocks on Depth but It didn’t seem convenient)
So I had lfo set to retriger mode depth set to zero, then green trig with depth of lfo to taste. Had to then plock depth of filter back up to an appropriate level, was a bit fiddly to be honest. But good for “wub wub” type sounds
Did you mean yellow lock trig ?
(Octatrack has green trigs)

Is it possible to cut a sound suddenly? I’ve tried placing a yellow trig with amp vol=0 and p.locking the volume of the track in the mixer page and no luck. Thanks.
How about p-locking AMP Sustain to zero?

Looking for (subjective) opinions about how Nauts rate the Tonverk’s workflow against the Digi boxes. I have owned the DT and DN mk1’s and currently own a Syntakt. Recently sold the DT and have been thinking about how much I loved its whole vibe and approachable design despite “limitations.” To put it another way, for me the Digi series are fun machines that are easy to experiment with and go down all sorts of rabbit holes where hours fly by without the machine “getting in the way.” Total flow boxes.
How does the TV stack up? Not asking about specs per se, more like how often are TV users surprised about what is coming out of their TV and how fun is the process?
first it’s a sampler vs syntakt ( i will ignore the sampling on syntakt since it’s only 64 samples and 32 mb .) So there’s the managing library, collecting samples, creating your own samples etcc that can be fun for some people and absolutely nightmare for others ( i’m in the first place).There’s some benefits over the digitakt, a simple drag and drop onto sdcard vs transfert ( a pita in my opinion ). but you should be disciplined and not move files around in the sdcard folder structure.
compared to digitakt there’s a sense of adventure were everytime you try a new combo with grainer and all the fx buses where you cannot really tell what’s it’s gonna sound lîke.
compared to syntakt i’d say it’s a bit more complex and it takes more time designing a full pattern with all the insert fx and buses possibilities. Even compared to Dn2.
what’s every tonverk user will agree is that it’s a very fun and a total flagship monster of a box that has not yet fully reach his potential.
I ‘m still not as fluent on it as on a syntakt or Dn2 which is normal. I think it’s more demanding than the digiboxes and thus could be less fun, but in terms of what can be achieved with it, let’s say you’ve watched headless horseman video from last week, it’s totally more exciting than the digiboxes.

I prefer it to the Digis, not used a Syntakt. The effects, polyphony, routing, make it very powerful, it’s easy to use and there’s a wider sonic palette available. Not having to manage clicks as much makes things more fun than the DTII for me.

The UI is so much improved over Digis/Syntakt with all the addtional buttons. I’ve never got used to the multifunctionality of the track/steps/note/mute/etc button grid.
And still it’s compact compared to A4.

I’m new here and this will be my first post.
I’ve been eyeing Elektron gear for ages. With the Tonverk, I feel closer than ever.
I do have a few questions, even after going through the manual and also trying it out in-store a couple of times.
There are some questions I haven’t really figured out as I get accustomed to it’s UI and functions.
I would use Tonverk together with Waldorf Iridium.
I would eventually use Tonverk both as a fx processor and also bounce samples between the different workflows and blend the results.
My first question;
I would like to use the degrader fx (to begin with) in a specific way. Especially, I would make use of the freeze and drop. My idea is to pass audio (both internal and external) through the degrader’s freeze and drop essentially, then through a delay to make the delay act on the freezed and dropped audio. Then blend the chain back in with the dry source.
Is this possible to achieve? To blend the insert fx chain back with the dry source…?
If not, I guess you can copy the track and have the chain on one of them with internal sounds as a work-around.
But I guess that would not be directly possible if processing external sounds?

Is it possible to MIDI map the chord settings of Scale and Shape?
It would be very nice to be able to swap Scale and Shape to easily combine chords in different shapes/from different scales while playing the keyboard. I really like that the keyboard holds the pressed note and doesn’t change as you scroll the Scale and Shape. But it would be even more intuitive to be able to map out the different scales and shapes to a midi controller for direct access. Sort of as an idea-generator and/or a mapped chord sketch-pad.
